But if we responded without lionizing the present day Democratic Party - you will just only get angry, belligerent and crass again! So any of those links anything to do with Huey Long or Woody Guthrie?

[-] -3 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

Perhaps you are having trouble with your English, hard to say, people like you who are so stupid they don't know the rich are too damn rich and the GOP work night and day to make them that way, it's kind of hard to know how stupid someone that stupid is.

[-] 3 points by lugano (1221) 9 years ago

You're clearly a blithering idiot, for whom mere ''stupid'' is still just some kind of distant ambition.+

[+] -4 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

How long before your GOP electing ass will be banned again? Anyway we can watch you duck the question here as you do everywhere, How do you think we should move forward? Is it OK to act in such a way as to allow the election of the GOP, or should we act vigorously to oppose that? I don't accept the GOP and their make the rich richer policies so it is my position we should do all we can to defeat them. Where do you stand on that important question?

[-] 5 points by lugano (1221) 9 years ago

When you say that "Greens are the lowest scum on earth, worst even than the GOP" ... from your very recent reply here http://occupywallst.org/forum/keystone-vetoed/#comment-1057295 It Speaks Volumes Really and it then reveals how you and The Democrats are closer to The GOP than The Greens and that should be an epiphany for others if not you. Also you should again note that all that I have to say to you is really to be found here http://occupywallst.org/forum/at-minute-38-this-film-explains-rich-people-are-ri/

So I should not help you to bump this thread too... any more than I have already - but to ''move forward'' you do have to stop continuously doing the same thing whilst expecting different results. The American people are being 'Good-Cop/Bad-Cop'ed by the Banks, Corporations and Media and for The Democratic Party to now be part of any solution to any of this, they really must change and truly embrace The 99%.

The GOP are Conservative AND Corporatist scum... who are beyond the pale and beyond any possible redemption. You should also be aware of the glaring and ever widening disconnect between The Official Democratic Party Politicians and their electoral base and the American 99% who have been and indeed still are - being continuously sold out. To affect not to understand this.. is not good for democracy really.

Co-opted? Like what the Greens are trying to do with OWS? Attacking anybody who would suggest the obvious fact that the GOP work to make the rich, richer and so should be ran from office. You mean co-opted like that? Yes I agree there are a bunch of political hacks trying to co-opt OWS to kickstart their political parties, the largest group by far are the stinking Greens they are the biggest ego whores on the web these days.

your path = Republican laws = mo' money for the rich

[-] 5 points by lugano (1221) 9 years ago

The Democratic Party would love to co-opt OWS (as we all well know) on behalf of either their corporate banker overlords or for the purposes of neutering The 99%... whereas The Greens share many of OWS' goals. You would have some credibility.. IF you could focus on The 99% (as your Wealth Inequality and Climate Change work does) - and much less on a faux dichotomy between the two Corporation, Banker and Oligarch controlled Party Political Process, masquerading as ''democracy'' in the USA - as 'political hackery' is as "political hacks" do, but like it or not - eventually, imo...

''Democracy Is Coming To The USA''... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBVaqrqb3bk (hopefully :) - but it appears that you are dead set against the expression of any revolutionary ideas. Why is that?

[+] -4 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

The Greens have infected OWS and seek to co-opt it to kickstart their dead party. People like you hang around to help the GOP by beating up on the Dems, the web is full of paid GOP hacks like you.

[-] -1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

Yes the ego whore Greens are scum and I hate them with a great passion. They are the worst of all political hacks caring for nothing but their own fame and any who fall for their shit is stupid as shit.

[-] 4 points by lugano (1221) 9 years ago

Keep on repeatedly casting malign aspersions, because your own words will keep on revealing your true nature. Eg... ''the ego whore Greens are scum and I hate them with a great passion.'' - It seems that you think that everyone who isn't a loyal Democratic Party believer must somehow be a Green or Republican but you are so blind to non RandD partisan politics, that you can't see the nose on your face - even with a mirror, Mr.Pinnochio. Greens are much further from GOP than you but you just do not care about that!

Your precious Democratic Party, is now just NOT the party that you thought you knew and admired, as a kid or young man. There are all kind of snakes in the swamp now and you could do worse than watch this short clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H097nkKwErY and please try to watch this guy rather than your Corporate MSM: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheBigPictureRT - Good Luck with all of that.

[-] 2 points by lugano (1221) 9 years ago

There has been no inability to reply and I've not been "ducking" you, lol but "a discussion" is based on a modicum of mutual respect and honesty. However your repeated mendacity and your faux premises and accusations - if not outright delusions, means that you are not an honest actor here or least that you do not act as such.So maybe you could try to explain your belief in The Democratic Party to the rest of us, but being the only show in town is no answer... if you get that Corporate Co-option has Corrupted them!

Oh your ducking is in fine form today Shadz go ahead now and explain why you feel it is OK for the GOP to win? tell me just once more why you consider that to be such a good ideal, since you have no suggestion at all as to how to stop it.

You don't really give a damn about anything but you own dreams of power, so course you have no desire to answer my sensible and sincere question.

So is your "ego" up for discussion too? After all lol, we all have one, right? It seems that anyone who does not pander to your Democratic Party obsessions or holds strong opinions or has a revolutionary analysis or who just simply disagrees with you, has an ''ego'' problem in your opinion! Just how many Democratic Presidents will it take for you to realise that they serve The1% and Bankers, Corporations, Oligarchs and War Machine before they serve The 99%? OWS' rise reflected the truth of that to us all.

Lol at "(your) sensible and (in)sincere question"! Keep wallowing in delusions and 'cognitive dissonance' or see what has happened to the Democratic Party of your youth. Your choice. Go ahead Shadz tell us again why you think it is OK to do nothing to keep the GOP from winning? Yeah I know about all the shit you would do better that's your EGO at work telling everyone what a good King you would be, but till then tell us why you elect the GOP

the Greens platform is one of self grandeur, it says I would rather have you vote for me, so that I can brag about the time I got a bunch of votes rather than for you to consider the outcome of your vote and your future, after all we now know some wars seem to never end, oh that's right I think Colin Powell said if you break it you own it, well we will have another chance; though based on last time when most folks said we don't give a damn, I don't see much hope but still in any given election all the GOP could be wiped from the house, if anyone would tell the truth about them or more correctly if enough people would but so many like yourself have other things they would rather talk about than how the GOP rape the world so they will be allowed to continue to do so I expect, I mean if the general population is so stupid they can't see that the GOP do nothing but work to make the rich, richer there really is little cause for hope

[-] 4 points by MattHolck0 (3867) 9 years ago

GOP rape the world so they will be allowed to continue to do so I expect,

can;t the GOP be banned as off topic so we could focus on stopping the "rape"

[-] 3 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

The GOP has infiltrated the other party as well, if not in body, in spirit. The "rape" will continue, until people realize that neither party represents the best interests of the people.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

It is and it isn't the party system that is the problem - it is definitely the people in the party system that is the problem. Hillary for an example is no better than the garbage candidates being presented by the GOP. Bernie and Elizabeth however - I feel - they have shown a consistent stance of fighting for the people - they both have a real track record of being very vocal against bad policy and trying to forward good policy.

Also no matter how many people will try to state differently - there is a real difference in the people in office with democrat behind their name as compared to the totally bought/rented lock-stepped rethuglicans in office.

If all of the people in office were bought - then we would not be seeing any opposition to keystone or fast track or the TPP or much else. The game would already be over and SS would be privatized and/or ended - there would be no support for raising the minimum wage - and so much more.

[-] 3 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

Agreed, hence my jaded outlook in thinking that no one in our two party system will come to our rescue.

[-] 2 points by turbocharger (1756) 8 years ago

When did this infiltration begin? When the Democrats were open supporters of the KKK?

[-] 2 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

I am aware of the history of "the Democrats ..[being] open supporters of the KKK." It stands to reason that, that is true, since many of the atrocities that the KKK carried out were in the South (not all though), where both them and the Democrats flourished. Johnson knew that Dixie was lost to his party for generations to come when the Civil Rights bill was passed. What LBJ didn't know was that many people in his own party would become members of the corrupt inhumane, system that we live in today. From my POV, that was the advent of neoliberalism, or when the Dems were "infiltrated." Both parties then started moving decidedly to the right. Goldwater lost his bid to become President, but his crappy legacy lives on, unfortuately.

Matt you really have a talent for asking off topic (asinine) questions.

For an answer though - those who campaign for war generally do not care about lives - hence civilians killed are called collateral damage - as if they were no more than a wall that got shot up to kill an enemy combatant.

Now maybe you could (be on topic) address what was being talked about = Bernie's fitness to run for president.

How can I stop GOP. Please tell me.

I detest the political tyrannical lying sick thieves, and the democracy and idealism they online to trade for power and wealth 1 percenters are making out like bandits, and we are going down the black hole of world capitalism free for all totalitarian, profiteering debt servitudalism

I detest the GOP rapists as they betray all humanitie's ideals for money and power What can I we do in this stacked deck system?

[-] 2 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

No Cost of Living Adjustment for six years is NOT your problem. Inflation mandated by our (Non-)Federal (No-)Reserve IS your problem. The U.S. populace was sold to the Devil starting with the Vietnam War, Yom Kippur War, Arab Oil Embargo, closing the gold window of the U.S. dollar, and our said authority of bold-faced lies to PRINT our way out of the financial difficulties.

Oil is the lifelood of industries and through it the vampire sucks the U.S. dry. Well, our consolation was that we printed them so many worthless dollars. As long as they keep their banking accounts with us and denominated our debt in dollars, we can print and acquiesce. Nonetheless, so-called free money has its unintended consequences elsewhere - persistent inflation that drive people to send their spouse to work, work more unpaid or paid overtime, get cheaper labor from overseas to ignore capital-driven productivity improvements, speculate in stocks, and even houses and derivatives.

When manufacturing sector was shrinking, they said, "Don't worry. We grow the service sector." When service sector got into some upswing, the free trade pacts imported much cheap labor from overseas (H1Bs and Chinese goods). Now if it is not manufacturing or service sector jobs, how are we going to sustain the livelihoods of our people?

The practice of kicking the roadside cans down the road repeatedly eventually costs us an arm and a leg because of IEDs. I do see silver linings around the dark clouds. For the first time recently in many decades, the U.S. has produced more of its own oil and natural gas. There is a shift away from coal and electric cars are for real. One more growth area I can provide eventually: someone please, please, please, change my diapers and wipe my ass clean when I grow infirm (I will be very willing to pay for that).
