So tell us all - what does this say about todays society - seems to me that todays society shows no respect for anyone or anything and you wonder why young people are going to prision. Are you that stupid to understand this?
I am not stupid at all. Why would you say that? because I posted this article on this important issue.
This has been going on with our society for the last 20 years - there is no respect for anyone anymore so you aren't putting out any new information.
Really? What disrespect are you referring to? We are pretty respectful here in NYC. Is that why you called me stupid? because you do not know how to be respectful.
Not everyone is like you.
I'm not sure how old you are but apparently you aren't very old to realize how our society and loyalty towards this country has changed.
People just don't give a shit anymore and could care less about killingk, maiming or stealing from someone as long as they don't get caught.
Wallstreet synopsis? Fortune 500? Fossil fuel industry?
Your party won the election and the country. The important power in the country is yours to command. Why do you continue with this petty bullshit?

You're a shill kag.
Nothing more.
Peace.
And why did you bump this post back up? (*) is best ignored.

You're a shill, kag.
Why do U keep posting?
It's clear to everyone here that your efforts are contrary to #ows.
So what the phukk are you doing here?

"The new Jim Crow"? Are you serious?
[Deleted]
Yes, I disagree.
[Deleted]
Actually I can somewhat agree. But drug laws have nothing to do with Jim Crow.
[Deleted]
Maybe you can inform all of us how this equates to Jim Crow.
[Deleted]
You are avoiding the question. You equated Present day drug laws with Jim Crow laws. Yet you refuse to explain how they are the same. Please explain.
I'm not avoiding it. You said you disagreed, I choose to NOT explain! It is not necessary if we agree on the basic importance of changing the laws.
Amazing....
Common ground! Not division. I don't want to argue, I want support for repealing the drug laws.
Sorry. You spout lies to get attention to whatever your pet issue is. I despise lies. Or are you a believer in the ends justifies the means?
At many of our high schools in Citrus County there is an active police presence; they are Sheriffs, not retired auxiliary, with an office, weapons scanners, a K9 unit, etc. and they conduct patrols, actively police. These are predominately white schools and we are an equal opportunity policer; call us conservative but we don't like gang bangers - they have no place in our schools.
It's zero tolerance - a pipeline to juvie detention or even prison - don't do the crime if you can't do the time. We simply do not want the druggies, the gangs, the victimizers in our schools or in our society.
If you are comfortable with that level of police state activity, then more power to you.
I KNOW that level of policing IS detrimental to the general welfare, & outlook of young innocent students.
I KNOW there IS a better way. And we as a society must find that better way. Certainly we should not just sit back, throw up our hands and resign ourselves to this obscene, hurtful tactic.
That would be giving up our responsibility, that would be lazy, defeatist & too easy,
Don't give up, don't give in to fear and "the hype".
Tell that to the people of Citrus County; many would not agree.
That is their misfortune (and their childrens)
If they are ok with it, then it will continue. If they want a better existence they will question it, and find alternatives.
Fear has made them accepting of a horrible situation. Thats what fear does. And that's why politicians use it. Don't submit! Denounce fear mongering, and you (& you're children) WILL be free again.
