Forum Post: Is there a connection here?

According to polls of Rs only:
Was Barack Obama born in another country?
.....67% said yes or unsure
What is Barak Obama's religion?
.....70% said Muslim or I don't know

With the virtually perverted ignorance of this huge group of people
( that I am personally embarrassed to call Americans )
I am not sure if they are stupid, delusional, ignorant, or liars.

Is there any connection, that it is from this pool,
that the people come from,
who twist or delude or just don't understand
or who just can't handle the truth:

"The Obama administration today said it would move forward with a new mandate requiring most U.S. employers – including religiously affiliated hospitals and schools – to provide health care plans that cover contraceptive services for female employees free of charge."

This requires no Catholic to use contraceptives - offering universal health care for all. If my Jewish son was born in a Jewish hospital, and I decided that I would break Jewish law by not having him circumcized, what would these religious maniacs do?

Are these the fanatics who believe evolution is not fact?
Are these the fanatics who believe Noah put the kangaroos back in Australia?
Are these the fanatics who are descended from the people who insisted the Earth was the center of the universe?

I'm asking - is it the religious maniacs - or the anti-Obama maniacs?

Of course, if these hospitals don't want to offer the same health care mandated by the new law -
already mandated in 28 states
they can get out of the hospital business.

This is not a religious freedom issue - it is an employment law issue.
So says a lawyer you may have heard of - David Boies.

How many of these fanatics are fighting to restore the legality of Mormon polygamy or Aztec virgin sacrifice?

And a friendly reminter - the consitution protects people, not religions.

These are the reasons why I think this has nothing to do with the church.
And has everything to do with a subset of the 2/3 of Americans polled about Obama - and how they are scared of an "other' and hate an "other" and cannot abide that an "other" is the President of the United States of America.

What do you think?
