I can't figure him out. He seems like an old grouchy geezer in the debates.

He is a Christian Reconstuctionist. Check out his ties to Gary North and other Dominionists types like Michelle Bachmann. He would try to break down the US and turn it into a Christian nation basing our laws according to the Old Testament. That is why he is hell bent on ending the Fed to insure collapse. You tell me is that sane or not.

I can't argue with that.

He is a senile old kook.

Obama on the Issues:

I don't want the Constitution. I don't want the Declaration of Independence anymore! I want to work 60 hours a week and give all my money as taxes to the Feds and banks for rations and shelter and safety. I want state spy's to always keep me and my family safe through street, drone, and home cameras. I want armed guards to x-ray or grope mine, my wife's, and my kid's genitals when we go into schools, malls, movies, football games, airports, and Disneyland. I need to feel safe. I want my door kicked in the middle of the night by SWAT teams with the wrong address, shoot the family dog, and search my home because I have nothing to hide. I want my proud country to use my unborn great grandchildren's money start unprovoked wars 1/2 way across the world, killing unarmed Men, Women, and Children as a sport, because they hate our guts! I want to be told what to see, how to eat, drink, dress, where to go, what I can grow, how many kids I can have, how to feel, who to hate…

…..…I need to have my hand held, and my ass wiped! Please put a boot on my face.

Ron Lawl DOES NOT SUPPORT MY UTOPIA, THEREFOR I CANNOT VOTE FOR HIM!

I see you are in a trance like the majority of Americans.

[-] -1 points by classicliberal (312) 12 years ago

Yes I'm in the trance too! I hate freedom! Two legs baad! Forget about the constitution! I want the government controlling every aspect of my life!

RonPaul on the Issues:

Total free market capitalism.

Free market health care.

Repeal Roe v. Wade.

Eliminate capital gains and estate taxes.

Eliminate the EPA.

Repeal ban on assault weapons.

Undermine UN arms control efforts.

Go to his website and read it for yourself.

The last two statements make me wonder - is OWS pro gun-control?

[-] 1 points by ScrewyL (809) 12 years ago

The crypto-occupiers are, yes. But the real OWS is not.

[-] 1 points by Febs (824) from Plymouth Meeting, PA 12 years ago

How are we to differentiate between those groups?

[-] 1 points by ScrewyL (809) 12 years ago

It's simple. If you question an honest man on his motives, he will prove his innocence to you. But, if you question a deceiver, he will cuss and yell "TROLL!"

"Total free market capitalism" is actually an enormous improvement over the corrupt bullshit crony capitalism that we have had for at least the last century. (Noam Chomsky's agreement: [about "capitalism"] "Maybe it would be a good idea. We've never had anything remotely resembling it because the owning class would never allow it."*) Ron Paul wants to bring REAL capitalism. And that's the biggest issue that's not on this list, he's the only one with a real plan to revive the economy -- not just more of this Keynesian idea we are forever able to inflate the money supply to make booms last forever. We need to stop allowing the "owning class" (bankers) to manipulate US currency. The power over US currency needs to belong to the government (or be a thing of value or both). How can anyone not see how bad it is giving monetary policy control to the private banking conglomerate that is the Federal Reserve?

anyone who isn't pro israel (Ron Lawl) is ignored by the mainstream zio media...

[-] 0 points by Febs (824) from Plymouth Meeting, PA 12 years ago

Have you listened to him speak? He speaks wisdom against those who want to bomb everyone else and ignore civil rights and our Constitution.

[-] 0 points by ronimacarroni (1089) 12 years ago

On yesterdays's debate he was the only who DIDN'T seem like a kook

The rest sounded like Nazis, speaking about deporting immigrants and spying on Muslim people and expanding the war machine...

[-] 2 points by ronimacarroni (1089) 12 years ago

They also want to privatize the TSA.

I mean seriously folks, SERIOUSLY?!

Anyone have an opinion?

[-] -1 points by mcmc (6) 12 years ago

He's obviously not senile. He mops the floor with those neo CON establishment shills. And there's really a lot to like about him, though his perspective (mostly from Austrian economics) is not necessarily immediately accessible to most. He's the staunchest defender of civil liberties, surely you must respect that? For instance: Ron Paul stands up for Julian Assange arguing that the WikiLeaks founder should get the same protections as the media. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1210/45930.html (this story is a year old)

My post was made tongue in cheek. If he looked and spoke like Romney, he would win by a landslide.
