Hi, I'm a High School student in Georgia, and I was wondering would it really be worth it if I held a protest at my local Bank of America branch in solidarity with OWS. I know it probably won't have much impact on the course of events, but I know we will definitely be heard by the local media. My main concern with this is I'm trying to motivate a target audience who has no clue about OWS and the so-called "left-wing offensive". Should I go to all the trouble to get them informed and have them show up?

Alright, last thing. on the OWS resources section, there's a PDF by the Midnight Special Collective that details what to do if you get arrested. That got me thinking: Will police arrest you if you're "occupying private property"? The BOA managers will probably claim the parking lot in front their branch as their "property", even though it's located in a strip mall.

It's totally worth it! And the comments are correct. Corruption doesn't care about right or left - both sides work the same people and that's why we have a problem. Just be safe, keep it peaceful and legal and you'll be good. Maybe some others will wake up because of your efforts.

Absolutely! It will have more impact than you know. Please go through the trouble of informing people. Even that, in and of itself, is so important.
