If they control the media- hence "public opinion"- and people tend to like what other people like, and they control the MSM poll numbers, the primaries and the ability to lock out other parties and candidates at a whims notice, with the ability to also legislate competition out of existence via the corporatist model..
IS there any other change besides one of an individual conscious one we can undertake?
We vote everyday with our wallets, and every two years we replace about 10% of em, usually with other preselected pods.
So if candidates that are truly excellent people get no play in this system, how do we get them eventually into political power? Is this goal even worth it, given the structural issues that must be overcome?
Is creation outside of the system on a smaller scale actually easier and more practical?
2014 is going to be another wash at this point, there is no 3rd party sweeping the nation, if it was going to have the impact it needs it would have to have some deep roots at this point in the year.
So is this shortcoming because we didnt try hard enough? Or is it because its just not practical? And with both of those, if so, how do we up the game?
