HJ RES 100 is where it's at.

Mr. KUCINICH introduced the following joint resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

‘Article-- ‘Section 1. All campaigns for President and Members of the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate shall be financed entirely with public funds. No contributions shall be permitted to any candidate for Federal office from any other source, including the candidate.

‘Section 2. No expenditures shall be permitted in support of any candidate for Federal office, or in opposition to any candidate for Federal office, from any other source, including the candidate. Nothing in this Section shall be construed to abridge the freedom of the press.

‘Section 3. The Congress shall, by statute, provide limitations on the amounts and timing of the expenditures of such public funds.

‘Section 4. The Congress shall, by statute, provide criminal penalties for any violation of this Article.

I like it - except for the Congress policing it - who polices the Congress?

Once the law is set - it is set -
like McCain -Feingold -
until we allowed SCOTUS to overturn it.

Dennis Kucinich roams around all over the place pointing out the obvious and telling people the truth no matter how anxious they are to hear-something else.He is not influential, but he is Fearless.Paul Wellstone was a man cut from similar stuff, and he did the same thing.Because he was a US Senator,he WAS influential, but due to an accident-either unfortunate or highly convienient depending on how you look at it-he is not roaming around telling the truth anymore. So much the worse for 99% of us...

Did you see that AP is saying Jimmy Carter has condemned the 'excessive' money in American politics? He thinks it's corrupting American democracy.

This is coming from a man who defended the Shah of Iran, that shining beacon of democracy, that bulwark against corruption.

Good post Trevor! Keep hitting them with well supported facts. Please include links to the sources to remove any reasonable doubt. We need to make it as easy as possible for the doubting Thomas'es to be convinced.

I agree. More courage than a Wall Street investor moderating an OWS forum.
