This is a great 3 hr interview with Hedges. He covers a lot of material

  • the end of the American empire -the corporate takeover of the US -Environmental destruction and immediate need to stop -The prison industrial complex -Christianity in the US(How it's merged with capitalism) -The Occupy movement as the only hope in an otherwise dark future

Ok - if we can't get Elizabeth Warren or Russ Feingold or Bernie Sanders, Chris is my man
I would invite all of the members of the "leaderless" religion to specifically tell us where or when a leaderless movement was able to make substantial systemic changes to its country's government or economy.
Don't get me wrong - OWS has performed a miracle waking up America and the world - but now we need more than coffee -
we need leadership - not spokesman - not dictator - but an inspirer - a coordinator -
MLK Gandhi Mandella Walessa
OWS MUST TAKE THE NEXT STEP
It's embarrassing to say - but the tea potty used the system to change it -
why can't we.

The tea party was successful in getting nonthreatening-to-power candidates elected into a system that is fundamentally and irrevocably broken. That is not a huge feat.

You mean the humanitarian interventionist? I thought he was in Libya sodomizing and murdering.
