*Important*Make sure you request a paper ballot! Hand written. When you vote. BC the electronic voting machines can be easily manipulated..... Paper ballot= Paper trail...it's traceable

We have a completely illegitimate voting system. We have no reason for any confidence in the stated vote totals. The vote counters can tell us anything. Stalin: "It's not the people who vote that count, it's the people who count the votes"
Bush stole the presidency twice. How many of the governors were really elected? How often have they pulled or outlawed exit polls?
We could persuade the vast majority to our side, but if voting is a crock, then . . .
Demand that all voting uses paper ballots, publicly counted -- until we get a totally transparent, open source system with a paper trail (and that's a maybe).

As I see it, there are stepping stones before OWS can help bring about a more fair and just society and economy. One of these is a trustworthy ballot. The other is breaking up or countering the corpoRAT media.
These stepping stones are utterly vital to eventually carrying out our main goals.
I really don't like Ballet's but I could go for a nice musical from time to time.

True, however electronic voting machines contain higher risk of error or fraud can occur, be it computer error or malicious use of computer programming skills, as seen in the vid above. Votes can be lost or manipulated...without a trace. Tangible paper ballets can be traced and requested to be seen if voters suspicions arise. Again its true either can be played with, But paper is traceable and hence accountability is provided... to some degree.
