Forum Post: If you're against OWS, you are pro-crime

Let's face it, OWS is about putting an end to crime. We're talking about fraud, conspiracy, and basic theft. Bank robbery, gangsterism on a grand grand scale.

That is something that people seem to lose sight of.

So if you're against OWS, you are actually in favor of continuing criminal acts of gargantuan proportions, crimes that destroy economies across the entire globe, and force people into poverty and starvation.

This is no exaggeration.

The run-up of food prices in 2008, which resulted in the starvation of a lot of people, and almost destroyed the economy here (before their gambling addiction took it out a few months later) was caused by super-wealthy speculators. This is a documented fact.

The collapse in 2008 was the result of a massive conspiracy between the Wall Street firms, the banks, the mortgage companies, and the ratings companies such as Moody's and S&P, who knew they were LYING when they rated the junk bonds created en masse from the crappy mortgage loans AAA! Investors trusted Moody's and bought these phony "investments" based on that trust.

E-mails from inside Moody's proves this to be the case.

The mortgage fraud, and the resulting trillions of dollars in bogus "derivatives" where everybody ended up owing everybody else hundreds of billions of dollars that suddenly evaporated? That is a documented reality as well. These crooks sunk the ship. Destroyed it! And what happened to them? They were handed billions of dollars in FREE MONEY to "fix" their little problem that they created through their CRIMINAL activity.

Anybody remember Enron? This is exactly like Enron, only on a scale hundreds of times larger.

Does anyone defend Enron anymore? Why not?

So why are people still defending the crimes of Wall Street?

Why do people actually come here and defend these crooks?

Because they don't get it. They're brainwashed by the corporate lapdog media (which we should honestly quit calling media, we should call them the Propagandists of the 1% instead). Because they are terrified that all of us, red and blue, liberal and conservative, are gonna figure out what really happened and we're ALL gonna turn on them.

And that's what should happen.

I have to say it was almost a beautiful moment in 2008 -- when the stock market crashed 777 points that day, and then TARP was announced. I was visiting my rabidly right-wing father and stepmom, and for the first time in our lives we were both on the same side -- realizing that we had just witnessed a major con, an epic robbery, and that suddenly in spite of our differences we were united in our victimhood! And united in our knowledge that we had just been massively robbed by a bunch of crooks.

But soon the Corporate Noise Machine started blaming the whole thing on blacks and poor people. And they ran with that, and people started listening, and that beautiful moment was gone.

We were back to fighting each other, blaming each other, shouting at each other.

It's bullshit. I want people to get it through their heads:

This is like Enron, only massively bigger. It almost destroyed the world economy. And since nothing has been done to change the rules, they are doing it again, and it WILL destroy the world economy. Any time. Quite likely this year. Just pay attention to what almost every economist is saying. It's a house of cards, it's gonna fall, there's almost no way that it won't.

What are we gonna do then? Get fooled again? We're getting fooled right now, except for those of us who have figured it out and have decided we have to do something.

This is why we went to Wall Street and not Washington. Washington is just Wall Street's little trained poodle. They are all in collusion with each other, and the money, thus the power, is all at Wall Street.

Enron. Those guys went to jail. Why aren't these crooks? The Enron guys were like shoplifters compared to these international mega-gangsters.

Figure it out, those of you who come here to complain about us.

We're on YOUR side.

Why aren't you on ours?

Because if you aren't on our side, you are on the side of criminals. Gangsters. Robbers. And sociopaths.

This is a logical fallacy. One can agree that the problems OWS identifies are real and need to be fixed while disagreeing with the solutions proposed and implemented by OWS.

Likewise, one should not agree with the conservatives, democrats, or any other political party simply because they say we need to improve the economy, education, or health care. One should also favor their tabled solutions before apposing his or her seal of approval by giving them their vote.

Why are you posting this? Your preaching to the converted

There seem to be a hell of a lot of people who come here who aren't converted. It's for them.

Sometimes it's hard to get through to some because of all the programming from Faux news, but slowly, some on the right are waking up

Very good post, I'm a conservative, but feel the exact same way, and have been shouting it from the virtual rooftops, and to those I know in the real world

But the hypocracy of the GOP and corruption that is the whole congress is being exposed slowly

Keep up the good work
