Forum Post: If only all Democrats or all Republicans, it would be heaven or hell

To non-partisans that's the way the partisans sound, shouting and insisting if only their party was in control everything would come up rose.

Of course the partisans ignore that for decades the same two parties have taken us down the road to ruin. Yes, the Democratic partisans counter, but that was the obstructionist Republicans. We're the party of progress. Haven't you been uplifted by the neoliberal economy Bill Clinton helped to build, or cheered the end of American imperialism that Obama has ushered in?

It'll be better in heaven, the Democratic partisans say, when Democrats rule.

Naturally the Republicans say exactly the opposite. They'll boast about the grand old economy and the best health care in the world, but neglect to say those wonders of American ingenuity benefit only the privileged few. The rest of the country struggles just to get along.

No, the Republicans tell us; the super rich are just waiting to trickle down some of their wealthy. You'll see, they say, it'll all be better in heaven.
