Forum Post: Identify source of problems and offer solutions.

Instead of just getting mad and protest.

Why not identify the problems, the cause of the problems and offer solutions to the cause of problems. I'm not saying that a protest is not needed (it definitely is). I am saying that in order to get rid of a disease, we need need to know only its symptoms but also the source of the disease. This in turn would allow to offer real solutions. In turn, comprehension on the sources of the problems will help more people support the change,

Anger and protest can build action. However solutions are needed. I think the problem is that our political system is obsolete and can now be dominated by the plutocratic elite. Our economic system is no longer "free market capitalism" but instead is "corporate syndicalism".

To solve the political problem we need to have the states call for a constitutional convention to create a parliamentary system where members are elected by proportional representation, and we need to totally bar corporations from the political process.

Economically, we need to give individuals access to venture capital so that they can be true entrepreneurs and unleash their creative talents and create real jobs.

we need a wiki and a forum and details on that in order to get to open source direct democracy problem solving process centered in science instead of opinion or ideology.

[-] 1 points by rbe (687) 12 years ago

The problem is our outdated system. The solution is a new system. Research a "resource based economy." Check out http://www.thevenusproject.com/ .

I don't work for/with them, but I think aiming for that time of system will meet the demands that I've seen as well as sum the movement up and get everyone moving in one direction. It's not a perfect system, but it will eventually alleviate most our hardships.

venus project is an evil cult. no solutions there.

[-] 1 points by rbe (687) 12 years ago

Lol! How so?

[-] 1 points by gawdoftruth (3698) from Santa Barbara, CA 12 years ago

every detail. no answers, just complaints. neil kiernian, the adminatroll ad hom junkie who uses an ad hom double standard to make the forum into a fascist pack psychology dictatorship. etc. Jaques. And his plan to offer up the circular cities to the elites AFTER depopulation. Their contract for drafting. No, i'm not sharing my work with them if sharing with them means i can't use that work in any other capacity. Every last detail. Fascist cult.

[-] 1 points by rbe (687) 12 years ago

There is a FAQ on their website. http://www.thevenusproject.com/en/the-venus-project/faq

Where do they mention depopulation? You seem to be angry at them for something.

[-] 1 points by gawdoftruth (3698) from Santa Barbara, CA 12 years ago

its not in their faq. its in the details. Yeah, i'm mad at them for taking all of my should have been allies and screwing them all stupid. I'm mad at them for making social change and evolution HARDER instead of easier. I'm mad at them for being stupid and evil and actually accidentally working very effectively to perpetuate corporate oligarchy. ETC. I have tried to help them. They are violent, they are stupid, they are ignorant, they are clueless, and they have no conscience.

[-] 1 points by rbe (687) 12 years ago

I think you summed things up nicely..you are mad at them. That's cool. I've never met them or have any ties to them, but I like their ideas. If you think about the amount of technology that we have and then take a good look at society when you're out and about, you'll see that our society is extremely old fashioned and outdated. There has to be a major change or we will have chaos.

great, lets focus on meaningful changes.

WAR vs Economic Social Justice

[-] 1 points by rbe (687) 12 years ago

I think all of those groups would eventually come to the same conclusion: a resource based economy.

[-] 1 points by gawdoftruth (3698) from Santa Barbara, CA 12 years ago

depedns on how you define it. "all of the worlds resources for all of the worlds people" is fine poetry and nonsense for systems theory.

[-] 1 points by rbe (687) 12 years ago

not if scarcity is eliminated.

[-] 1 points by gawdoftruth (3698) from Santa Barbara, CA 12 years ago

its not a question of scarcity? WTF? nothing at all to do with each other. I am for eliminating scarcity. Systemically, you can't give the whole world to everyone, you can only give local chunks to local populations.

[-] 1 points by rbe (687) 12 years ago

Scarcity is one of the basic principles behind a market based economy. That's the reason why resources are allocated "unequally." People in our economy "compete" for resources that are labeled as scarce (sometimes erroneously). Eliminate scarcity and the quality of life for everyone should rise.

[-] 1 points by gawdoftruth (3698) from Santa Barbara, CA 12 years ago

while true, again, you can't give the whole world to everyone thats systemically impossible. so. most of the time when tvp defines rbe its so ignorant its doing so in a manner which makes their theoretical system systemically impossible.

[-] 1 points by rbe (687) 12 years ago

I think people will demand less when marketing is out of the equation. When you think about it, the main purpose of marketing is to convince people that they need stuff that they probably don't need at all. Plus, with technology, we can do more with less, so that frees up resources. Nanotechnology is going to revolutionize our lives too. They key word should be sustainability.

[-] 1 points by gawdoftruth (3698) from Santa Barbara, CA 12 years ago

marketing is about informing the public of an option it has to buy something. yes its gone whack away from that, but we will always need some form of marketing.

[-] 1 points by rbe (687) 12 years ago

it's gone waaaaaay whack away from that.

[-] 1 points by gawdoftruth (3698) from Santa Barbara, CA 12 years ago

yes.

[-] 1 points by gawdoftruth (3698) from Santa Barbara, CA 12 years ago

i'm all for it. but not tzm/tvp which sadly epic fails everywhere.

A private corporation manages the printing of our nation's money. I call it the Fraudulant Reserve, the biggest scam in the history of this country.

Here's the disease:

  1. Lobbyists BUY our politicians - on both sides. Nothing will change until lobbying OUR elected politicians is made illegal.

  2. Campaign finance reform. NO - ZERO - NOTTA private campaign donations. ALL campaign monies must come from the government equally divided between candidates - taken from taxes. The Brits do it!!

When those 2 changes are made, the American people will once again begin to own their own government and not one second before.

30 years ago, the average CEO's salary was approximately 10 times that of the worker. Now it is 300 +. How did we get to there?
