Forum Post: I went to the mall today

I went to the mall today and bought some new shoes. I went to Home Depot, Lowes, and Best Buy just to see what was new for 2012. Yesterday after work we went out to dinner then our high school basketball game. During the week I drove to work and back home, some 10 miles give or take. Last week week rode our bikes on some city bike paths.
Guess what, in three months I have yet to see one OWS protest. I dont think I have heard one person I know talk about OWS. Seems like everyone is pretty pleased with their life. Our next door neighbors just got home a couple of hours ago with their brand new SUV,,, nice looking. Life is going on. Another friend own a pretty big company and last week he told me he was going to be hiring some people due to an increase in sales. I think everyone is betting big that obama is sent packing. God Bless America.
My heart is sadden by this... Do you care that people die in other country's because America waste and consumes far to much? Do you care about anyone past your family?
Nope. This country has survived for 236 years because of who we are. If other countries would do what we do rather than want to kill us they would better.
There in lies the problem with most Americans. They just don't care.

How do you think America survived? It wasn't because they looked to other countries - Other countries look to America - well they have until this administration came into town.
Anyway, Americans used to be taught to be "independent" and helped their neighbors when in need.
Well today Americans are taught to be "dependent" and the "independent" Americans are fed up because they have to keep providing for them and they can't afford it anymore.
Yet you make the time to make a user name, log in, and write on the forum of occupy wall street. Interesting... It does not matter if it's negative or positive dialog, as long as we get people talking, we are winning. Thanks for the help. Troll 0, 99% 1.
Unless you have a major occupation going in your city they are easy to miss. It's obvious from the political mess this country is in a vast majority of people don't keep informed. They know very little about politicians and less about protests.

Excellent point. People don't feel like their lives are all that bad. This protest is just the bottom 30% complaining about how their lives suck. Majority of Americans are happy and that's all that matters. Of course someone is going to comment about how people are naive and blind to the corporations man. They will claim that they see the truth but are too blind to see many people are happy.
Most people know there are problems in this world. They wish those problems could be solved. Some are easy to solve and others will never be solved. Most of the people on here are "miserable." And here is the issue. They are miserable and they want everyone else to be miserable with them. I refuse to play their game. They could all become heros to America if they would do one simple thing. There must be some smart OWS people. These people could come together and support something NEW and exciting for America. Create a new business or business model. This new model should highlight any and all great things they want to see in a new world of business. If you want to pay employees more and give them more extras, then if you can figure out how to do it,,, do it. If you want to be the top environmental company,,, if you can do it,,, do it. YOU do what you would expect other to do. If what you have created is great then people will beat down your door wanting to replicate it. If not, it will die and THEIR expense,, not ours. But they wont. It really is about being miserable and wanting to drag everyone down to their level so others will be miserable with them. They know this is true but will slam people like me for calling them out. I have yet to see an uplifting idea here,,, only drag everyone down to their level. Aint going to happen. I'm happy just like a majority of people are and I wont let it happen on my watch. They need to get a life.
