Dominican prostitute: Sen. Bob Menendez ‘likes the youngest and newest girls’

In a little-noticed email published online Wednesday by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a young Dominican woman wrote nine months ago that she slept with 59-year-old New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez at a series of sex parties organized by Dr. Salomon Melgen, a longtime Menendez campaign donor.

“That senator also likes the youngest and newest girls,” the woman wrote on April 21, 2012, according to an English translation provided to The Daily Caller by a native Spanish speaker. Melgen, she added, had Menendez as a house guest for sex parties regularly. “His good friend [Menendez] is very important in the United States,” she wrote. “I met him in those house activities and just by looking at him one knows that he is very important and has money. I didn’t know he was a United States Senator; that was something that Peter [Williams] told me. … I know that the Senator comes from Miami with the doctor, but I do not know where he lives.”

In her email, the woman wrote that she became disenchanted with the initial glamour of partying with a wealthy doctor and his friend the U.S. senator. “It was during some yacht outings that I realized I needed to get out of there,” she wrote, “because these people are so important and they do whatever they want with the world. … Look, there are many things I prefer not to remember and it is hard for me to talk about them too. I got into this world to find the money, but many things have happened.”

“There is a lot of hypocrisy. They are all very political and all, but I saw them doing things with those young girls and saying things so many times that they cannot trick me into believing that they are good, trusting people.” She added that her sister is still caught up in the Dominican Republic’s prostitution scene. “I also don’t want anything to happen to the girls who don’t know yet how this world they were born in works,” she wrote. “I want you to help me take them away, especially because I have a sister who is still in it.”

The FBI raided Melgen’s flagship clinic Tuesday night, hauling away evidence in what an FBI source told TheDC is an investigation tied directly to Menendez’s alleged illicit sexual activity with minors in the Dominican Republic.

“In the beginning he seemed so serious, because he never spoke to anyone, but he is just like the others and has just about the same tastes as the doctor, very refined. I think they were taking us more often to get us checked [medically] because of him.”

TheDC is not disclosing the woman’s name because she may have been a minor when her alleged sexual encounters with Menendez occurred. Four different Spanish speakers who reviewed TheDC’s translation of her letter all said her Spanish writing indicated someone who was very young and unsophisticated. CREW chose to publish her name, despite her concerns for her safety.

“I do not want to have problems with those people,” she wrote, adding that she believed “I can trust you, that you will help us, and that nothing bad will happen to the other young girls, to me, or to my family.”
“The thing that worries me the most is that if they know that I spoke with someone they will find me,” she added. The young woman wrote that she was recruited as an escort from an adult escort service called the Doll Palace, and that the code word “chocolate” would summon her and other girls to Melgen’s sex parties. She offered specific recollections of Melgen’s preferred pimp, the homes where she slept with his house guests for money, and the phone number her calls would come from.

Her account of the sex parties Menendez allegedly attended in the Dominican Republic is the most detailed to surface since TheDC first began reporting on the story in November.

She told her story to a tipster who forwarded the email to CREW; it was not included with the cache of documents he published online on Jan. 24. TheDC was first to report on that dossier about Sen. Menendez, which included an interview transcript in which a different women claimed she was 16 when she began sleeping with him.

That young prostitute said she had sex with Menendez “three times at least” in 2009. “The first one in February, and then in May and June. I recall his visit in June so well because that month was my 17th birthday.”

The woman whose email CREW released on Wednesday also recalled a sexual encounter with Menendez near her birthday, but said hers was in a different month.

the prostitute was paid to read from a script

do you think the next DC story is “Menendez is a Muslim”

You're obviously confusing this guy with standard practices in the (R)epelican't "community".

Remember. " I am not a crook".

Yes they are.

No, it'll be some more examples of him pushing through legislation that directly helps out his big contributors. There's definitely a whore involved here.

Well, are we looking for any specific legislation here? What should we keep an eye out for?

"Two years ago, Dr. Melgen, despite an apparent lack of experience in border security issues, bought an ownership interest in a company that had a long-dormant contract with the Dominican Republic to provide port security. Mr. Menendez, who is chairman of the Senate subcommittee that holds sway over the Dominican Republic, subsequently urged officials in the State and Commerce Departments to intervene so the contract would be enforced, at an estimated value of $500 million."

no one said Menendez was a saint, but I wonder which party has spent decades manufacturing news & lies.
Here's an oldie - the first time tricky dick ran for congress, he printed some literature supporting his opponent - labeled to be from the communist party.

So you've been fooled by ALEC into thinking ART5 is bad. bensdad wrote: "the first time tricky dick ran for congress, he printed some literature supporting his opponent - labeled to be from the communist party."

"no one said Menendez was a saint, but I wonder which party has spent decades manufacturing news & lies. "

Just to clarify for myself...idiocy and corruption in a party that you personally believe HAS NOT "spent decades manufacturing news and lies" is fine and should be completely excused ESPECIALLY if it's pointed out by someone who is not a member of that party? Right?

truth is truth

[-] -3 points by blacksad (-58) 11 years ago

Jesus, my draw literally dropped. I thought OWS was supposed to be about changing the system, pointing out the crimes and here you are, trying to derail a convo about current corruption to talk about something that happened decades ago. why the hell would anyone here do that? please please tell me you aren't underplaying or ignoring this because menedez is a Democrat. If people here are willing to sell out and look the other way because of partisan politics, this thing is done and the current system is safe. This is stunningly depressing.

my OP was not about crooked pols, it was about fraudulent "news" created by the 1% for their lemmings
you knew that - didn't you ?

[+] -4 points by blacksad (-58) 11 years ago

sorry your diversion away from a corrupt (gasp!) DEMOCRAT in Congress was foiled. cat's out of the bag now

[-] 4 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

one of the clearest "tells" of a troll is attacks on a poster rather tha addressing the post.
Did the DC manufacture this story?
Or is it the truth?

[-] -3 points by blacksad (-58) 11 years ago

who cares? and who knows how this part of the story will pan out. lots of back and forth going on between the WA Post and the Caller about the truth. we'll have to wait to see how it ends.

why wasn't your original post outrage at this member of congress selling out so blatantly? if you are drawn to this site because of what it stands for, that kind of crap should be what pisses you off. instead you are trying to use sex and lies to divert attention. you need to explicitly say that you think Menendez (D-NJ) is crooked for paying off his 1% buddy if you want any credibility on this site. otherwise everyone is just consider you to be a mouthpiece for the democratic party

[-] 4 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

the second "troll tell" = change the subject

do you know how to read?
I am posting a lie by a liar to prove DC lies
If you want to post the facts about a congressman and what crimes he was convicted of - go for it

[-] -3 points by blacksad (-58) 11 years ago

your silence is deafening and tacit approval.

In addition to the security company, in 2011 Dr. Melgen founded a Latino-oriented news Web site, Voxxi, which has also emphasized the need for the port security deal and glowingly depicted Mr. Menendez as a giant among Latinos. A former employee, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of career damage, said Dr. Melgen would often intervene in the coverage, requiring editors to play down achievements by Republicans like Senator Marco Rubio of Florida and replace it with praise for Mr. Menendez.

And Dr. Melgen may have found another route to help Mr. Menendez and his party in the elections last fall, when the senator faced Joe Kyrillos, a Republican in the New Jersey Senate, whose candidacy was heavily promoted by one of Mr. Menendez’s chief antagonists — Gov. Chris Christie.

In the end, Mr. Menendez won with about 58 percent of the vote, partly because of the support he received from Majority PAC, a “super PAC” set up by former aides to Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic majority leader.

As the campaign entered its final weeks, the PAC poured $582,500 into New Jersey to support Mr. Menendez’s re-election effort. One of the organization’s biggest donors? Dr. Melgen’s company, which donated $700,000 between June and October.

That is very interesting. Thanks.
