Question: How would Ron Paul be able to abolish the IMF? The IMF is hardly a United States owned enterprise.

[-] 1 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

The USA could abolish the IMF or World-Bank by simply quit funding them.

What RP opposes is US taxpayer dollars used on these projects which were only designed to ensure USA Hegemony on the world, ...e.g. Imperialism.

[-] 1 points by shield (222) 12 years ago

Taxpayer dollars are not used to fund them, but to pay back loans which were furnished by them. The US does not print Currency, the Fed does. The Fed is a private corporation, not owned by the US, from which the US borrows currency to facilitate its projects and programs. The IMF works in a similar fashion.

[-] 1 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

The IMF like the UN was created by the USA. Recently the US took out the IMF president by paying a whore to claim she was raped. Like all these NGO's they're based in NYC, because long ago Rockefeller ( big oil ) donated all the land for these NGO's.

Now ... anybody that tells you that the USA don't own, control, and run all these UN agency's, ... for that matter like NATO, ...

Well anybody that tells you that its NOT run by the USA is a professional liar on the OWS payroll.

[-] 1 points by shield (222) 12 years ago

Having read the Documents regarding the United States' inclusion into the already existing IMF program, I can state with full certainty that the United States did NOT create the IMF. If you can link to documents which prove otherwise I would be happy to read them.

From what I've read, the situation is the opposite of what you present, in that the United States does not own or control these agencies, but is owned and controlled through them.

[-] 1 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

Having been a UN member and involved in NGO's my whole life I can tell you that the United States of American controls everything.

Why in the fucking hell do you think its all ran out of NY CITY?

What you read is standard bullshit. Idiots are told that the IMF and the UN want to take over America,.. this is standard CIA op, that way they can do bad and say "THEY MADE US DO IT",... this is how the game is played.

The USA paid for and OWNS the UN, and the IMF, and force everyone to trade in US dollars.

The world today wants to destroy the IMF, ... because they want to end USA hegemony, ... its quite funny to see OWS apologist assholes like you twist things around and make IMF appear to the enemy bogey-man when in fact the IMF is part of the 'Economic HIT-MAN' organization that the USA uses to control the world.

Shit when Hilllary CLinton is finished running state department, she has already been promised to be president of the IMF, .. how is it that she can be given this position quid-pro-quo?

[-] 1 points by shield (222) 12 years ago

My apologies, I had gotten my documents mixed up. What I was referring to was the creation of the IBRD, or World Bank, not the IMF. Regardless, I stand by the last sentence of my previous response; that the United States is controlled by the true owners of these international agencies. It is true that the United States "government" and military do in fact provide much of the footwork dictated by these agencies and their owners, it is not in the interests of the people of this nation, nor even in the interests of this nation as such. My belief is that this occurs because the United States is the last semblance of a free nation (though in practice it has been a communist nation for some time) and if it falls, the world leaders will have all the excuse they need to justify their intended military actions in creating a true and obvious hegemony.

[-] 0 points by gnull (0) 12 years ago

My bad -- for some reason I was under the impression that the IMF was a US based administrative entity.

[-] 3 points by shield (222) 12 years ago

"He would forgive all debt owed by the third world to international banks." He can't do that either. Nor can he end the World Bank. Regarding the rest, while perhaps he could he would be quickly assassinated before he even put pen to paper.

[-] 2 points by nikko (62) 12 years ago

End the Fed? Does Ron Paul know why the Fed was created? Does he know conditions before the Fed was formed? Before thinking this is a good thing, he may want to ask the farmers and industrial workers that were raped blind by the private banking system in the 1800's. And he may want to read about the deep depressions that occurred every 15 or 20 years prior. End the EPA? He is old enough to remember the Great Lakes being so polluted from industrial sludge that one could not swim in them and living in a big city required a gas mask. Does he know why the min wage and the Fair Labor Standard Act was created? A person in a movement against disparity voting for Ron Paul is like using gasoline to extinguish a fire. And what makes him think he can do all those things he says he will do as president? He is running for president, not emperor, End the FDA? He may want to read about how the food industry knowingly sold tainted meat that killed many - in fact more soldiers died in the Spanish American War than from war itself. He is against bank bailouts? Under more deregulation like he and his libertarian / conservative buddies want, the next bailout will be bigger and badder than the last one. For all these reasons, I agree with the reader. It would be a good thing to see him win. When everything spirals out of control, the peasants that will suffer most (that is the 99 %) will rise up and bring about real change. And maybe then we would learn how we got to where we are. As a country we have obviously decided that history means nothing, so we need to repeat our mistakes to learn.

Wait------What??

Who told you this BS? I've seen this before.

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

ron made rand - thats enough reason to be against ron.
From Rachel's show:
Rachel:... How about desegregating lunch counters?
rand: Well what it gets into then is if you decide that restaurants are publicly owned and not privately owned, then do you say that you should have the right to bring your gun into a restaurant even though the owner of the restaurant says 'well no, we don't want to have guns in here' the bar says 'we don't want to have guns in here because people might drink and start fighting and shoot each-other.' Does the owner of the restaurant own his restaurant? Or does the government own his restaurant? These are important philosophical debates but not a very practical discussion...
Rachel: Well, it was pretty practical to the people who had the life nearly beaten out of them trying to desegregate Walgreen's lunch counters despite these esoteric debates about what it means about ownership. This is not a hypothetical Dr. Paul.

ron's son, an eye doctor, did not like the state board certification for his chosen profession, so he CREATED his own certification board to certify him!
what better definition of an anarchist do you want?

I think ron is playing games in these debates to get rand a job in the willard administration.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

The truth is out about Ron Paul's major backer manufacturing and selling spying technology to the CIA, and it's use on Americans.

Once that news gets around, he's finished. Real liberatarians will see that immediately. I will soon ask everyone, on the basis of this new info., to not even bother debating RP supporters on this forum any longer. Once it's clear a person supports RP the conversation should from now on simply be over.

[-] 1 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

I concur Ron Paul is an asshole but for many reasons, ... allow me to list.

1.) He's a lifelong republican,... that makes him an asshole right there.

2.) He's part of the status-quo, never mind what he say's the elite know its all talk, he's one of them.

3.) Even the Wall St Journal said last year "Fear not paul will NEVER dismantle the FED-RES", ... its all just his campaign talk.

4.) The reason Paul has been a Congressman for 30+ years in his district is that his electorate are right wing nut-cases, and he plays them like a fiddle.

OK, is there anything we don't agree about GK?

I'm a fucking ANARCHIST, ..

Yes, I agree if you had some info from one of the crazy's art-bell types you might persuade some 'libertarian', but in my mind they're not real liberatarians, anymore than any of you are real liberals.

Liberal - "someone who believes in liberty"

Libertarian - 'someone who believes in liberty"

But what OWS is-is statist Orwellian Stalinist Welfare nanny-ism, ... where some asshole hiding behind his computer that doesn't exist ( kalle lasn ) can control the world,..

It's too bad,

Conservative is supposed to mean 'conserve' like earth-first or sierra club, but in today USA, both left&right are both fascists and/or stalinists,

Real love of liberty is impossible to find in the USA.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Fine, then you should have no problem with the facts that are exposed in my post.

[-] 1 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

The gist here is that paul is a politician, and one of his contributors makes spy equipment ( electronics ) and it may have been used it for its intended purpose??

Why post it here, ... but so what I already told you that I think Paul is a fraud? Is there anybody here that thinks otherwise? Did you read what I wrote, ... he's a fraud, and even the Wall St Journal ( the 1% ) say's so, ... What's left, the dog is down he's kicked to death, ... why do you go on about Paul? For what?

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Is there anyone here who thinks otherwise? Boy, you sure haven't spent much time on this forum, that's all I can say.

[-] 0 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

This is my point, your rude, and you never answer the question. Yet your clearly a significant admin here that never gets banned in spite of your ego.

Why must you kick the dog? He's dead?

Address the issue? I have seen it myself as I write above, ... I saw 30+ years ago, Pavlovian response from his name I have seen people jump from their chair and shout "fascist", like a pavlovian response for no reason other than hearing his name. What creates that kind of reaction? What do they feed shit-eating liberals?

The definition of an educated man, is one who will listen to you without punching you in the face, what I have seen first hand at meetings is that most so called liberals' have no ability to keep their mouth shut and respect other peoples opinion.

The above of course could be said of a hard-code COP/Prison-Gaurd who listens to Rush Limbaugh 24/7 telling them how everyone is lazy except Pug's ( republicans ),

I think a few people are in love with R-Paul for the simple reason is his message is NOT black&white, left&right, ... over-simplified BULLSHIT.

In summary its the problem with this FORUM, .. everything is left-right, and you think Paul is RIGHT, ... why? I have no fucking idea. Paul was doctor before he became a politician, probably very good with people.

Why don't you prove to us that your a real person and not an OWS BOT, ... why not tell us why you want to kick the Ron Paul dog even though he is NOT a threat to the stalinist-liberal?

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Ron Paul's major financial backer sells spying techology to the CIA,and has been found using it on Americans. Now maybe you see why.

[-] 1 points by alexrai (851) 12 years ago

Great post. I think all the people whining about Ron Paul will be living in a world of regret a few years down the road. He's got a lot more going for him than blow-up-the-world Romney and I-just-do-what-I'm-told Obama.

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

I admit it - I love ron paul - boiled, stewed or fried - but he is a bit stringy

Just think of the fun America will have if you vote for another third party candidate!
President Bain Romney ! ……… and more scalia clones like thomas
or President Cotton Mather Santorum and more christian dictatorship

You gotta believe –
………….the only ones who don’t want you to vote Democratic-
…………………………………………………………………….are the tea potty !

You remember “George-yellowcake uranium”.
You remember “ Dick-Iam not a crook”.
You remember “Ronnie-I don’t remember my treasonous acts”.

Now we have “Ron-I don’t remember my disgusting newletters”.

@--> A 1992 passage from the Ron Paul Political Report about the Los Angeles riots read, “Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks.” Another Paul newsletter asserted that people with AIDS should not be allowed to eat in restaurants because “AIDS can be transmitted by saliva”;

@--> In 1990 one of Ron Paul’s publications criticized Ronald Reagan for having gone along with the creation of the federal holiday honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., which it called “Hate Whitey Day.”

@--> Ron Paul’s newsletter called Barbara Jordan, the African-American Texas congresswoman, a “half-educated victimologist” and said of crime in Washington, D.C., “I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.”

@--> ”If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be." - Ron Paul, 1992

@--> "Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,' I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal." - Ron Paul, 1992

@--> "We don't think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That's true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such." - Ron Paul, 1992

@--> Ron Paul’s newsletter was listed by a neo-Nazi group called Heritage Front, as recommended reading. { you gotta believe the doctor }

@--> The September 1994 issue of the Ron Paul Survival Report states that “those who don’t commit sodomy, who don’t get blood a transfusion, and who don’t swap needles, are virtually assured of not getting AIDS unless they are deliberately infected by a malicious gay.”

@--> In the April 1993 Ron Paul Survival Report, the author states, “Whether [the 1993 World Trade Center bombing] was a setup by the Israeli Mossad, as a Jewish friend of mine suspects, or was truly a retaliation by the Islamic fundamentalists, matters little.”

@--> Ron Paul SIGNED 1993 appeal for funds letter: "Israeli lobby plays Congress like a cheap harmonica," warned of a "race war" and said there was a gay-led cover up of AIDS. The letter suggests, that new $100 bills distributed by the Treasury and ostensibly aimed at tracking drug money were instead aimed at keeping track of all citizens. "I held the ugly new bills in my hands," the letter says. "I can tell you -- they made my skin crawl!" Then "my training as a physician helps me see through" what he calls the "federal-homosexual cover-up on AIDS." The letter warns of a "coming race war in our big cities"

@--> Ron Paul December 2, 2011 Ron Paul Believes that Corporate Lobbying = Liberty: “I Take The Position That You Should Never Restrict Lobbying…”
About Citizens United - "It's corporations' money, they can do whatever they want with it."

You can claim – b.b.b.b.b.but Ron did not write these awful things! HE PRINTED THEM!

And I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that deregulating-Ron would not want

a regulating Food and Drug Administration to ensure the safety of your food or meds
[ if you are poisoned, you or your estate can sue ],
or
a regulating Environmental Protection Agency
[ if your land is poisoned by a fracker – move ],
or
a regulating Federal Aviation Administration
[ if you are a scardy cat, take the train ],
or
a regulating Nuclear Regulatory Commission
[ ? ],
or
a regulating National Transportation and Safety Board
[ you know how to safety and crash test your car, don’t you? ],
or
a regulating Securities and Exchange Commission
[ you always pick honest corporate leaders, right ? ]
or
a nuclear bomb free Iran [ don’t all maniacs need one ? ]
or
a democratic ally in the middle east - like Israel
[ "Israeli lobby plays Congress like a cheap harmonica" – RP ]

Four years ago, Ron Paul generated controversy by not repudiating the endorsement of the neo-Nazi group Stormfront, This time, they seem proud about getting the support of a Nebraska Pastor who has made some revealing comments:
Ron Paul’s Iowa chairman, Drew Ivers, recently touted the endorsement of Rev. Phillip G. Kayser,
praising “the enlightening statements he makes on how Ron Paul’s approach to government is consistent with Christian beliefs.” Kayser’s views on homosexuality go way beyond the bounds of typical anti-gay evangelical politics and into the violent fringe - Kayser recently authored a paper arguing for
criminalizing homosexuality and advocated imposing the death penalty
against offenders based on his reading of Biblical law: “As we have seen, while many homosexuals would be executed, the threat of capital punishment can be restorative.”
Has Ron Paul repudiated this endorsement?

My guess is that just like
Ron Paul tried to shove the
Ron Paul Newsletters under the carpet,
Ron Paul will try to shove his
Ron Paul endorser there too

It is fascinating how, despite the fact that fox hates Ron Paul,
he uses the same tactics of deceit and obfuscation.

Please note – I’m not saying Ron is 100% nuts – just 99.4% pure

.................................................................
just a tiny fun fact - do you know who Ron named his senator son after?

google the libertarian queen’s name together with the name “William Hickman”

[-] 0 points by Pujete (160) from New York, NY 12 years ago

Ron Paul is the only one who is anti-war. It is that, despite everything you posted, which makes Paul worthy of support. Him and him alone.

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

So your top priority is anti war
Sounds just as smart as the gun nut who votes for the person who wont steal his gun
or how the anti-contraception nuts who vote for cotton mather santorum
we have our priorities
my #1 is supreme court appointments and I could vote for no one who would appoint a scalia-thomas- roberts-alito
but I would consider other things like their track record on fixing american industries like GM, the Lilly Leadbetter Act , imrovements to our medical system, fighting for gay rights, fighting for abortion rights
all of which RP would oppose

[-] 0 points by Pujete (160) from New York, NY 12 years ago

The war, aka " the greatest strategic blunder in American history", trumps your DNC talking points agenda.

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

Bush's war was" the greatest strategic blunder in American history"
but which of the rp writings & quotes are democratic talking points?
be specific

[-] -2 points by Pujete (160) from New York, NY 12 years ago

No, I was referring to your priorities as Demo duckspeak - not RPs writings.

[-] 0 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

He's NOT anti-war, he's anti-imperialism.

But is he really?

He play's his electorate, he's been in politics way too long, ... what does he believe for real?

Probably nothing.

[-] -2 points by Pujete (160) from New York, NY 12 years ago

He's been consistant over the long haul. I think it's safe to conclude he means what he says.

[-] 0 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

Please during the last 18 terms he has said a lot of things, if your going to say he's 'consistent' just because he said he is, ... which is bullshit, but if your going to do it here in front of god ( kalle lasn der leader ) and everybody, then you need to back up your assertion with facts.

What specifically has R-Paul been consistent about?

[-] -1 points by Pujete (160) from New York, NY 12 years ago

He's been right about the Fed and is working to end it. He's was right about the war and is working to end that. He has opposed the erosion of our civil liberties, the Patriot Act, the NDAA and the War on Drugs.

These are things he has always fought out of principle - not because a focus group told him to.... Consistent.

[-] 0 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

What war are you talking about?

Ron Paul is very general, he talks the same shit as OWS "We're the 99%", ... "Save the whales",...

Nobody is going to end the FED, behind the scenes Paul is know by all that he's all talk.

Patriot Act & NDAA, shit even Obama say's he opposes them, but then he passed and signed, ... this is their game.

All politicians want MORE POWER and RP is no exception.

RP loves war, .. what he opposes is that the US government pays for the majority of the war's, ... he simply doesn't want our money used.

But RP is a war-monger just like everyone on OWS-FORUM and just like every TV watching ameriKKKan.

The only thing that RP is consistent about is Libertarian 'Talking Points", ... but as we say 'money talks and bullshit walks', and you notice that RP ain't got much money.

[-] -1 points by Pujete (160) from New York, NY 12 years ago

You have a paralyzing ignorance of Ron Paul and OWS.

Why are you here anyway?...Try FreeRepublic. They're more your kind of people....Cranks.

[-] -1 points by JuanFenito (847) 12 years ago

I am glad the FDA is there to make sure no one ever gets poisoned by bad food anymore! Thank you Congress! It hasn't cost a dime! I will sit here in my testosterone-less whiny state begging my neighbors to chip in every time I want something!

[-] -1 points by JuanFenito (847) 12 years ago

So, one person donates money to an unaligned PAC and it becomes newsworthy?

Would you rather have a president that says he is going to do something bad, then fails at doing it, or a president that says he is going to do something good and then succeeds at doing something worse?

[Removed]

[-] 0 points by TheMisfit (48) 12 years ago

Too many people today do not truly understand the liberties and rights protected by our Constitution and have become accustomed to having things "given" to them from the government. Whether it is college grants or loans or medical insurance, many have become reliant on the government and not themselves. They are afraid of having to make it on their own and Ron Paul is a threat to their government handouts. The funny thing is, the government interference is a major factor driving up costs for many of those needs that so many come to depend on.

[-] 0 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

YOU have to understand its been this way forever.

It's pavlovian, I can remember 30+ years ago in Portland, Oregon at meetings people would mention 'ron paul' and get called a fascist, ... funny cuz its paul that opposes fascism, ...

I always made a point to never mention his name, but once somebody accuses me of such and friend said I was only a 'libertarian', which is just as bad,

The sad thing is the liberals are actually non-compliant with any thinking other than their own.

Lastly, of course is Paul is rational and tells the truth, the majority of Liberal Dialect is LIE's, ..

The Conservatives are bastards but in general they're honest and will speak the truth, ...

It's apparent here on OWS where liberals RUN this forum and delete anything that is true, but the lies are kept and the liars never get deleted.

There are a few conservatives here but their just manufactured to make right wingers appear as idiots.

The OWS is only a tool to re-elect obama in 2012.

[-] 0 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

The truth is out about your paper god. It will soon be everywhere. He's through.

[-] 0 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

Let's talk about the truth? The truth is YOU are OWS. Anybody here that has over 1,000 points means they have never been deleted. You have offended 100's of people, but have never been deleted. That makes you an insider and a administrator of this forum.

Why not you tell us about your truth, after all OWS has no leaders right?

I have no idea what you mean by 'paper god', you mean money? I hate the US dollar. If you have something to say, then say it, ... but deep down I know you to be a fool, because only the fools are allowed to have a life longer than a week on this forum.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Please see the link on my forum post, A Bitter Sweet Victory. If you think I like what's in it, or what it means for libertarians, you are wrong. But facts are facts, and they will out.

[-] 1 points by salinsky (27) 12 years ago

I never click on any kind of a link on OWS. Period.

It's an open door for the OWS-FUSION-CENTER to track your IP and real-identity.

If you have something to share cut it and paste here.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Naw, I don't think you would bother with projecting all this hostility if you were who you say you are. A funny thing here: you know more about people from what subjects they address and how, then you do from who they say they are. I've already had enough from you. Look at it or don't, I don't care one way or the other.
