I am so proud of what you are doing in OWS. And I think you should be consistent in refusing to list your demands or policies.

Why? because, as you know, any list of demands or policies would be immediately used to polarize the American public, using false rhetoric from the pundits on both side.

So then, how do you make some kind of progress(whatever that means) while actually managing to speak for and unite the 99%?

You guys really feel and know that you are the 99% but many of the people you are trying to represent are not seeing how you represent them. You have united a huge portion of people. But there are holdouts who are clinging either to some rhetoric that they have heard from right or left, and who say things like "I pay taxes!" or "I work hard! Why dont you get a job!" You see it and rage, not against them, but at the whole damned game that gets them into a position to NOT see how they are in the exact place that you are.

The way to help people to be able to hear your message? You need to continue the stance of neutrality, while stating your message in a way that your "opponent"(who is not really an opponent being part of the 99%) can hear. You need to reach out to understand what their real concern is, and to get into the emotion or feeling that is coming from it. You can not do that with angry, inflamed rhetoric. Nor can you do it by hunkering under some pet idea or frustration.

So in order to speak to everyone, you have to identify the one big thing that liberals and conservatives are trying to agree on: we need to return power to the voter, and the little guy.

That means we might end up having to compromise(we meaning voters, not the OWS movement) at some point in the future.

When you hear conservatives say "lower taxes" or "reduce regulation" they are really saying that for themselves they would like to have more power or control over their own destiny and do not want the government calling the shots in their lives. The same for liberals, who say things like "buy local" or "dont shop at walmart". What they are saying is that they do not want corporations controlling their whole lives.

So the trick is going to be convincing people that we understand their primary concern: that neither the corporations nor the government should have control of our country, our government, nor our personal lives. WE the PEOPLE should have control of our lives.

As far as saying "Give us jobs", well watch out with that. If someone "gives" you a job, you are at their mercy, which is the problem. And unfortunately, the right does not hear this as a plea for honest employment. Their ears hear you saying that you feel entitled to have a job given to you, and are not necessarily wanting to earn the job.

Obviously this is not true. You know it, I know it. But you will need to show this hardworking fellow American (potentially a conservative) that you are not out to somehow get some kind of handout. You do not want to take any more of their hardearned money through taxes. Remember, the primary emotion from both liberals and conservatives is fear. So what is the fear right now? Well, since real wages and benefits have been drastically reduced in the last thirty years, this person is trying to survive on a shoestring and is afraid of someone stealing what little they have to survive on.

And, to be fair, they are right about one thing. You, liberal and conservative, all, are going to have to quit relying on government OR big business for our jobs. That is going to mean continuing to "buy local". That is going to mean creating our own small businesses, perhaps even illegally or under the table, since that appears to be the only way we can compete with big business now, who have set the rules all in their favor. Which may mean that liberals will need to take a queue from teapartiers who say that they want less regulation and taxes. The teapartiers are right about that particular aspect. Less regulation and interference(at least for small business) will increase the little guy's capacity to act as an agent of his own destiny.

So remember, you are all on the right track. We cannot trust those on high to do for us, we must take back our own destinies. And we cannot talk the language of the dominant political conversation, which is merely the language of fear, pride and exclusion. We need to see what the "other" side's fears and needs are, and show how what we are doing addresses those needs.

Start the war against Injustice by starting our own banks to double the income of the Bottom 90% of Workers, for many more people will come to your side when you are proactive (for “new” Business & Government solutions), instead of reactive (against “old” Business & Government solutions), which is why what we most immediately need is a comprehensive “new” strategy that implements all our various socioeconomic demands at the same time, regardless of party, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 1% Management System of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves, and thus doubling our income from Bank Profits which are 40% of all Corporate Profits; that is, using a Focused Direct Democracy organized according to our current Occupations & Generations. Consequently, I have posted a 1-page Summary of the Strategically Weighted Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:

http://getsatisfaction.com/americanselect/topics/on_strategically_weighted_policies_organizational_operating_structures_tactical_investment_procedures

Join

http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/

because we need 100,000 “support clicks” at AmericansElect.org in support of the above bank-focused platform.

Most importantly, remember, as cited in the first link, that as Bank Owner-Voters in your 1 of 48 "new" Business Investment Groups (or "new" Congressional Committees) you become the "new" Congress, and related “new” Businesses, replacing the "old" Congress, and related “old” Businesses, according to your current Occupations & Generations, called a Focused Direct Democracy.

Therefore, any Candidate (or Leader) therein, regardless of party, is a straw man, a puppet, a political opportunist; what's important is the STRATEGY – the sequence of steps – that the people organize themselves under in Military Internet Formation of their Individual Purchasing Power & Group Investment Power. In this, sequence is key, and if the correct mathematical sequence is followed then it results in doubling the income of the Bottom 90% of Workers from today's Bank Profits, which are 40% of all Corporate Profits.

Why? Because there are Natural Social Laws – in mathematical sequence – that are just like Natural Physical Laws, such as the Law of Gravity. You must follow those Natural Social Laws or the result will be Injustice, War, etc.

The FIRST step in Natural Social Law is to CONTROL the Banks as Bank Owner-Voters. If you do not, you will inevitably be UNJUSTLY EXPLOITED by the Top 1% Management System of Business & Government who have a Legitimate Profit Motive, just like you, to do so.

Consequently, you have no choice but to become Candidates (or Leaders) yourselves as Bank Owner-Voters according to your current Occupations & Generations.

So please JOIN the 2nd link, and spread the word to as many as possible, so we can make 100,000 support clicks at AmericansElect.org when called for, at exactly the right time, by an e-mail from that group, in support of the above the bank-focused platform. If so, then you will see and feel how your goals can be accomplished within the above strategy as a “new” Candidate (or Leader) of your current Occupation & Generation.

Here's how we can easily Reform Wall Street: Take away their powers "once again." And a Million People March on The Hill will help get it done!

For example, "We are here Congress because we want to bring REINSTATE the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933 http://www.investopedia.com/articles/03/071603.asp#axzz1aPEc3wX which help saved our country from the Great Depression by preventing investment companies, banks, and insurance companies from merging and becoming large brokerage firms; instead of just being Banks and Insurance companies--why can't we learn a history lesson here Congress? Btw, why did most of you vote for its final repeal in 1999? http://www.counterpunch.org/2008/09/19/shattering-the-glass-steagall-act

Think about where we are now, it all started in 1999 with the subprime loans Senator Phil Gramm was peaching on Senate floor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKQOxr2wBZQ&feature=related

Furthermore, we also want you to CHANGE the Commodities Future Modernization Act of 2000 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodity_Futures_Modernization_Act_of_2000 BACK to where it was before 2000, which since has deregulated energy markets and consequently allowed for such scams as The Enron Loophole; whereas in the early 2000's Enron Corp. was charging 400 bucks plus for a kilowatt hour...They all when to jail for this. But, the Enron loophole is still not closed, for example, allowing speculators to resell barrels of oil over and over again before it reaches the gas station owner. It's basically, legal gambling at our expense. What were those lawmakers thinking then? What are you thinking now? Either do the right think, or you're part of the 1%."

Why are oil prices high? The Enron Loophole

Rolling Stones Reporter: Truth about Goldman Sachs--how they have cornered the markets--basically, The Enron Loophole and the Repeal of Glass-Steagall Act in 1999. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waL5UxScgUw

Let's get focused and bring back Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, they got it right 1933, we don't need to REINVENT the wheel because bringing this Act back will create an even playing field once again....and let's finally Close the Enron Loophole, which allowed Enron to charge what they wanted for energy; they went to jail for this; but no one closed the loophole, why? Re-election Monies from the banks and oil companies! The writing is on the wall.

Small business rules are often softer already. Local and state government makes it really hard to break in to business, though. For example, having to have an address that is not your home is one my state, licensing can be ridiculous, preventing new competition to established businesses, and workers comp insurance is a huge problem if you need employees because of how expensive it is.
