FYI, a Dutch colleague of mine sent me the link below which is a translated page of a Dutch newspaper. Four Dutch members of parliament visited OWS and in the absence of a spokesperson they talked to random people. And that was it. They just left with a general impression and four pin-point discussions with random people who could have been the village idiots and traveled back to Holland without having a contact to fall back to for future purposes. Wouldn't it have been great if a delegation of OWS would have been ready to receive them, show them around and discuss a comment set of demands?
Yes, it would :have been great if a delegation of OWS would have been ready to receive them", so perhaps you would consider our group's proposal of an alternative online direct democracy of government and business at http://getsatisfaction.com/americanselect/topics/on_strategically_weighted_policies_organizational_operating_structures_tactical_investment_procedures-448eo and then direct questions or comments to our group's 19 members committed to that plan at: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/
Exactly. And if not a set of demands just yet, how about at least the beginnings of a consensus.. I suggest considering building such consensus by practicing a grass roots, purple finger vote, based upon the system developed in Iraq, through proposals, questions, and potential options developed in the General Assembly. Ink the fingers of those who mobilize to participate with purple, ensuring no citizen casts more than one vote. Get some percentages. Develop a consensus. Establish a voice. Reinstill a truer Democracy as a means of facing off with the current corporatocracy where bullying corporations have been judge the new "citizen". Rally a vote!
Please, please, please. Vote with a purple finger, vote with a hand up. But if we do not step forward with a representative/spokesperson nothing will come out of this. We had access to members of parliament and we did not use it
