or general jack d ripper

100% certain that 1000+ Syrian civilians were gassed.
If we attack Syria -

what will America do if it turns out that one of the rebel factions gassed a different rebel faction ? { remember one Iraq "faction" gassed thousands of Iraqi civilians }

what will America do if it turns out that one of assad's generals pulled a " ripper" ?

I am trying to save the lives of thousands of people he may put in jeopardy througout the mid-east if we attack

should we have attacked mao or stalin ?
should we attck n. korea today ?

much as I would like to get rid of assad, NO AMERICAN PLANS include that goal

assad is an evil dictatorial bastard - we should not be attacking him any more than we should have attacked saddam

It is Polite fiction that keeps everyone involved from speaking truthfully? Or from getting anything done?

"He" isnt the problem.

Just as your simplistic view of some politicians over an entire system built over the course of humanity here is a bit uniformed and very naive, your view that Assad being removed is going to change anything at all is a bit absurd.

Because clearly our parade of "democratically elected" presidents have welded such a great record.

No one said its acceptable. You are making a case based off of the words of proven war criminals.

Were you beating the drums in 2002 as well?

Or is the face and letter of the drummer that matters?

I'm assuming you werent. Whats changed?

That is what has made this debate so entertaining.....leftwingers calling for war and rightwingers demanding a more peaceful solution. Only in America. Hyprocracy with a straight face. Me, I am not convinced that Assad deployed the chem weapons. Hard to say when a fight only has bad guys on each side. Sadly, as usual, the innocent are caught in the middle and doing the suffering and dying

Now I have to debate on whether Bush is a war criminal. Insanity.
