It's a interesting movement at a much needed time when the government has become highly corrupted. Unfortunately, it could be a lot more transparent, and it needs to stop using violent rhetoric and propaganda tactics to demonize the police. If the movement can be cleaned of this and really become peaceful, then it might have a chance. If not, it will become violent and turn into a civil war.

It's a natural backlash to the rampant corruption in our system.

But it has the potential to undo that corruption if it matures and prods people to vote out those in power that benefitted from that corruption.

I spent 5 weeks in an occupy encampment. The original message that we thought it was 'about' did not materialize, and we closed the camp when we saw the violence growing.
OWS is a subtle law breaking machine behind a great marketing strategy. The most effective social marketers to date, they have merely to tell idealistic youth, anyone disgruntled or a multitude of societal fringes to break the law by blockading California ports (as they have called to do on 12/12) and OWS protestors will go and forcibly (with their presence of numbers) force the ports to close. This not only violates the majority public's Constitutional rights to pass through the spaces that OWS takes forcibly by force of numbers, and it breaks local laws, but can legally be construed as an act of terrorism. I think the message, if there ever was one, is now lost in loops of private agendas, and the childish wish to make a gleeful mess of things. Majority public opinion is growing farther and farther away from OCCUPY and we could have had them on our side. This far in from my energetic start with Occupy, Im now seeing the movement as social arsonists.

They have the best marketing strategists in town. Advertisers can make you buy beer, get hungry, think about sex, covet your neighbor's car. And to make you think about anything else that they want you to think about. Including insurrection. I wish there was still time to get people to listen and steer OWS away from the course of violence it is headed in. The original message is a good one and valid. But the 12/12 is just terrorism in the name of 'being right'.

Unfortunately, these comments will be voted down since I am psyops spy hired to design the fall of OWS through clever spin.

You are one of the level headed, looking for a truly peaceful protest. Ill be the psyops spy today, you can have a day off.

I think it's at the head of this page, right below Occupy Wall Street. The world revolution continues! That's what we are about. It's about building a new, egalitarian, free, loving, just, peaceful and democratic world a world that is embodied and implied in the Declaration of the Occupation.
