ithaca hours.

You know this is similar to the voucher system used in anarchist Spain before Fascists took control of it.

[-] 1 points by lisa (425) 9 years ago

Why does everything cost something and 99 cents?

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 9 years ago

That's a holdover from the days when a penny was actually worth something. Back then (WAY back then) $1.99 sounded like a much better bargain than $2.

[-] 1 points by ronimacarroni (1089) 9 years ago

Okay how about 1 coin, 2 coins and 3 coins. Low skilled labourers get one hour coin, tradesmen get 2 hour coins and high skilled workers get 3 coins or possibly 4 coins for very high skilled workers.

[-] 1 points by me2 (534) 9 years ago

Does a highly skilled worker get 4 coins for doing a job which requires no special skill?

[-] 1 points by me2 (534) 9 years ago

All right but it ain't gonna have to be hard work now is it?

[-] 1 points by WakeUpWorldTV (58) 9 years ago

We should call them Points. Money is an illusion, the resources are what's real. http://www.thevenusproject.com/en/the-venus-project/resource-based-economy

National sovereignty must be retained at all costs.

More centralization will further dis-empower individuals.

Take the EU as an example of Orwellian fascist bureaucracy gone mad.

[-] 1 points by tehm (32) from Knoxville, TN 9 years ago

Because Germany is doing terribly there with it's socialist systems of healthcare and income gap of only 11:1 (versus America's 230+:1) and heavy price and wage controls, and ludicrous taxes, and what with it being overrun by union thugs?...

Or were you referring to the Germany that has a huge net savings rate, that runs a tremendous surplus, and has one of the best standards of living in the world?

I get so confused sometimes seeing as they are both the same place you see...

[-] 1 points by reddy2 (256) 9 years ago

Tell me you'll feel the same way when and if an (unelected, unaccountable) council for the American Union situated say in Panama makes all AMERICAN laws. And the ALL the laws for Canada, Central and South America.

Tell me how empowered you'll feel about your own life when the laws and those making the laws are even more untouchable than they are now in America.

The grass is not always greener. Do you know anyone living in Germany? I do and they actually work in the healthcare system. They are planning to emigrate. Because the state mandated health policies are keeping wages artificially low. The figures don't tell the whole story.

Germany wants a lower euro as they are an export nation and this suits them. The same cannot be said for every other EU nation. Which is my point.

Trying to homogenize the world as if every country had the same history, values, needs, wants, society, production, land content, infrastructure etc etc etc is ORWELLIAN MADNESS

[-] 1 points by tehm (32) from Knoxville, TN 9 years ago

Well I certainly won't call you a liar because in a country of ~81 million there certainly must be some doctors that feel that way.

That said the vast majority of my family live and work in Germany and given the conditions there versus the conditions here I for one can not wait to repatriate.

There was a time when the United States of America really was the greatest country on earth. The world is a sadder place for that no longer being anywhere even close to true.

[-] 1 points by reddy2 (256) 9 years ago

Why would I bother lying?

Good luck to you but in my opinion the EU is the most totalitarian fascist organization on the planet.

[-] 1 points by ronimacarroni (1089) 9 years ago

Germany and every other European union country right now is on the ropes because of European Union crisis. That's not a fair example.

[-] 1 points by tehm (32) from Knoxville, TN 9 years ago

Actually even with all the problems going on in Europe Germany isn't having any problems at all...

In many ways I believe the EU crisis can be summarized as the Bundesbank being way too confident that 7/8ths of the EU could fail and the german speaking countries would actually be the better for it.

Obama’s “New International Order” goes beyond the United States

THE NEW WORLD ORDER-is not so new it is an elitist takeover while the masses are enslaved--while the rogue government poverty-strickens Americans

I vote yes to National sovereignty must be retained at all costs

[-] 1 points by reddy2 (256) 9 years ago

Owe-blama is a puppet of the globalists. He was from day one.

Some guy out of nowhere with no past and barely any relevant experience manages to raise the most money in history to become the president?! Puuhhleease.

He is the ultimate Manchurian candidate.

Smooth talking liar lulling the nation into a false sense of hope when all the while his actions are designed to destroy.

[-] 0 points by IChowderDown (110) from Dallas, TX 9 years ago

Henry Kissinger, found him and groomed him.

[-] 1 points by bettersystem (170) 9 years ago

one credit for 1 hour work, 150 credits per month to share equally in the earth and "our" resources, food, shelter, health - do as you will with the rest of your time.

[-] 1 points by Daennera (765) from Griffith, IN 9 years ago

Yeah, except all labor isn't equal. I can find 100 guys in a minute that can lay concrete, but I have to hunt for a good heart surgeon. Guess what. Due to economic laws of scarcity, the doctor's labor is worth more.

[-] 1 points by bettersystem (170) 9 years ago

only because of barriers to entry and a ridiculous education system.

with free access to information and better schools we can all be doctors, scientific knowledge should be common knowledge, and it will be in an advanced civilization.

[-] 1 points by Daennera (765) from Griffith, IN 9 years ago

Not everyone CAN be a doctor....I couldn't be a doctor.....hence I became an engineer. And more people failed out of my engineering program than passed.

And we have the easiest country in the world in which to get an education. If you want it badly enough, you can do anything.

[-] 1 points by bettersystem (170) 9 years ago

it is much more difficult to get an education in the US than in most developed AND even third world countries.

[-] 1 points by Daennera (765) from Griffith, IN 9 years ago

I have a hard time believing that. And you're talking to someone who paid in full for their education in cash.

[-] 1 points by bettersystem (170) 9 years ago

it's true, even in oppressed Cuba (as mentioned in this thread) EVERYONE has a right to a full and higher level education for free, no job issues, time, etc..

Cuba has 100% education even with all of the trade embargos and attacks from the US, they really are remarkable and only 1 example of this.

also, education curriculum in US is a joke, standards are ridiculously low, kids are distracted and taught useless and wrong info, and now many are being put on behavior modification drugs, it's quite pathetic.

[-] 1 points by Daennera (765) from Griffith, IN 9 years ago

I truly agree that education in this country is pathetic as all get. And it would be awesome if we could supply higher education to everyone who wants it in this country, although at this point we just don't have the resources to do it.

Cuba might also have an easier time with the situation being they are so much smaller than us.

[-] 2 points by bettersystem (170) 9 years ago

"we don't have the resources to do it" - clear example of the poor system of government, especially that it has to rely on paper money and an economy to educate, feed, house and look after the health of it's people?? How primitive.

Our current system requires cheap labor for "markets" educating everyone is counter productive. How insane is that... seriously, we are still rather primitive and ridiculous.

we can have earth to plant seeds for food and medicine all around us, instead we plant flowers and go buy junk and take unnatural meds which kill us slowly, because we have to create profits??

simply ridiculous & primitive.

[-] 1 points by Daennera (765) from Griffith, IN 9 years ago

Cheap labor has a place though. Everyone can't make a million dollars a year. Although we can educate people to the hilt, that doesn't mean that we won't have a market for menial labor, and that those who participate in menial labor will be paid at the lowest end of the scale.

[-] 0 points by Frankie (733) 9 years ago

Stop trying to confuse them with reality. lol

[-] 1 points by ronimacarroni (1089) 9 years ago

Cuba has one of the best doctors in the world and its a communist country.

[-] 1 points by bettersystem (170) 9 years ago

yes, and they send their doctors all over the world to help others, for FREE!!

[-] 1 points by Daennera (765) from Griffith, IN 9 years ago

So? What does that have to do with what his labor is worth? I'm sure as Cuba's best doctor receives more resources for his contributions than a day laborer.

[-] 0 points by gr57 (457) 9 years ago

nothing sounds better than paying the walmart, a fireman and a doctor the same

OWS is evolving as it goes along! Some of the younger folk know something is wrong, but still don't know exactly what, like us awakened people do. What I don't understand is, why are none of the names of the criminal elites on all the signs that the protesters are carrying? The thing that the elite cabal fear MORE THAN ANYTHING, is the knowledge that we know who they are personally...and total exposure is the only thing that will stop them! "End the Fed" is a great start, but it is still too benevolent. We should be carrying signs that show loudly and clearly that we know exactly who they are! That way they can't hide behind the faceless blanket term "GLOBALISTS", 'BANKERS', "ELITE", "FEDERAL RESERVE", "1%" or "NWO".

Most people think the Federal Reserve is a government entity. It is not. It is privately owned by the world's wealthiest families and royal families who have violently protected their identiites from being connected to the federal reserve. They are responsible for a countless loss of life to try to keep this secret for many, many, many generations. The internet has been their worst enemy and hopefully will release their strangle hold on us.

Unless we expose the ROOT CAUSE, the invisible ruling elite will still be there to do these things to us again another day. The important but lesser problems will get fixed properly once the ruling elite are gone and honest people are elected. Always aim to take down the very top peak of the pyramid....or nothing will ever change. EXPOSE THEM!! If the whole world knows who they are, they can't hide. Each country that is protesting, needs to look up their countries ruling elite names, illuminati names, NWO names and get them on as many signs as possible and show the whole world who they are! If we focus on this one idea, they won't be in power for much longer. Spread the word!! Don't do this by yourself! This has to be done en masse....if only a few do this, they'll be escorted away. But if tens of thousands do it at the same time, what are they going to do? They can't get all of us. Strength in numbers!

There are many more North American criminal ruling elite families that need to be exposed;

EXPOSE THESE CRIMINAL RULERS!!!! They need to see their own names on tv.

I will be a painter in this new system. I will paint nude women for my coins.

[-] 1 points by ronimacarroni (1089) 9 years ago

Okay how about this. You have to go to college to become a painter and if the professor thinks your paintings suck, you get kicked out and get no hour coins.

[-] 1 points by technoviking (484) 9 years ago

why impose barriers of entry to the job we want to do?

this is the same reason why heart surgeons are so rare, engineers are so rare, physical science researchers are so rare.
