Forum Post: History has taught us (countless times) that extreme class polarization is always a prelude to revolution and civil war. Can anyone tell me why America will be any different?

Because Americans are too lazy and love living in the illusionary world of pretend. Sorry this is harsh but the truth hurts.

Yep and the masses will continue to incrementally submit to the brainwashed pop culture, submit to security in exchange for freedom and further social control. They will be able to smoke the pot and drink, so they will still feel they are free. They will legalize certain drugs, and drugs will be allowed through prescription. The mental disorders rampant now are because those that try to create are not free to do so or think anymore. I follow no shepherd. Unfortunately the masses do and elect the very ones screwing them over. The remainder are under the influence of - you choose. Turn off the TV - disconnect from the hypnotic spell.

My god it is not that tough to turn off the TV. I watch about 1-2 hours of TV a week mostly uninterrupted cable shows and some corporate news and my life is not drastically affected. It is the cult of TV that is the problem, you know what I am talking about you go into work and people ask me if I watch this or that show. I tell them I don't watch TV they look at me like I am a freak. Then i go into the lunch room and there is usually a Dancing with the Stars or American Idol pool each week. Not one person watches some sort of reality based TV during that time to find out what the hell is going on in the world. Nope!!! Keep the fantasy going that is what they want.

WHO IS BEHIND "that extreme class polarizarion", I wonder???

Billionaire businessman Warren Buffet said on CNBC about a year ago already: “There's CLASS WARFARE, all right, but it's my class,. the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning.”

On CNN, he later stated : "Actually, there’s been class warfare going on for the last 20 years, and my class has won. We’re the ones that have gotten our tax rates reduced dramatically. If you look at the 400 highest taxpayers in the United States in 1992, the first year for figures, they averaged about $40 million of [income] per person. In the most recent year, they were $227 million per person — five for one. During that period, their taxes went down from 29 percent to 21 percent of income. So, if there’s class warfare, the rich class has won."

I see glimmers of the French Revolution here.

The "Let them eat cake" bs is only going to set off the American people, like it did the French.

Hi tweed, Good post. The rich do not get it. With too many people having nothing to lose, a "Reign of Terror" could happen again. Best Regards, Nevada

'cause most Americans are stupid.

I don't think it's a matter of intelligence. I think revolution is more a reflex action.

Yes, but one has to be smart enough to know that they're getting ripped off first.
