MODS Please implement code to change all instances of "Hillary Clinton" to "Hillary Flintstone" so that the Ron Lawl fanboys don't get their panties in a twist over imagined favoritism.
We do not support an election campaign for 2012. At all. We have removed election material for Obama, Paul, Warren, Paul, Cain, Paul, Perry, Paul, the green party, Paul, Nader, Paul, and did I mention Paul? The spamming by the Ron Lawl 2012 fan club was getting out of hand. We will continue to remove such material and any call for the Paul 2012 campaign will, at this point, be considered spamming. End of. We're tired of hearing about it. Main street debates are also largely off topic.

I feel badly that many of you probably did not watch the 2008 democratic contest between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. I was neutral, actually leaning towards Obama, until I was exposed to a huge does of Keith Olberman's nightly tirades in early February that completely favored Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton.
I went from being completely ambivalent to researching and discovering so much evidence about the dishonesty that the higher up democrats had perpetrated on the race against loyal democrats.
Just because Hillary Clinton knows "all of those people", does not mean she would carry out their wishes. Look at Soros, Soros and Clinton were supposedly close, yet Soros not only went out of his way to support Obama over Clinton, Soros through everything he had against Hillary Clinton to make sure that Obama "won".
That should tell you who would have been less of a sock puppet to the elite and to wall street.
Hating all the candidates and assuming they are all in on the fix does not really help in the short term if we end up electing a dumb arse like Newt Gingrich, who betrayed any form of intelligence when he so openly and condescendingly insulted every occupier with his recent tirade directed against the occupy movement.
The hypocrisy of Gingrich is legendary. Gingrich actually attempted to create gridlock in congress back in the 90's because president Bill Clinton had him leave off the back of Air Force One after coming back from a trip to the Middle East.
That was worth bringing congress to gridlock???, but people protesting about the current state of politidal corruption isn't? Hey Newt, maybe having to walk out the back entrance of Air Force one is "equal" to hundreds of thousands of people protesting in the cold night after night. (snark alert).

Instead of condemning all the candidates, realize that Hillary Clinton is not going to run specifically because she does not want to deal with the BS of the bought out media that gets bought out by the politician who spends the most money on ad commericals.
In 2008, Hillary Clinton directly met with more of the 99% than any other political candidate, minimizing those encounters as being meaningless because she knows the financial elite is actually an insult to the people she met with throughout her political campaigning in 2008.

I agree actually. But once he got in, he'd be marching to the same tune, too. They've even got it covered if someone "unapproved" gets in, via funding, party politics, Congress, the civil service, etc etc. If he got in they'd just use him to wipe out Social Security and all the other things he's amenable to that they want, block him on everything else, then crush him four years later.

If and when it looked like the system of corporate filters was (against all odds) going to fail, and someone who was going to significantly alter the status quo was going to get in, they'd have 'em shot long before the elections.
The Plutocracy likes to hear about all that "free-market" and "sink-or-swim" meritocracy stuff only when it applies to starving third world sweatshop workers. They know perfectly well that corporate America depends on huge amounts of state-intervention and subsidy.
If some crack-pot where to actually stick to "free-market" principles and apply them consistently (as I believe Ron Lawl would) the US economy would collapse. They aren't going to let that happen.
Of course the area where he would do the most damage to their interests would be dismantling the vast overseas empire. As commander in chief he wouldn't need congress to go along and could simply order all the troops home. It would basically mean an end to the permanent war economy. The whole thing would fall apart. I would support this part actually ;)
