Region by region we see that a higher minimum wage reduces unemployment.

Check these numbers against a $7.25/hr national rate.

Northeast, VT MW $8.60/hr, unemployment rate, 5.2%,

National MW Rate states ME 7.2%, NH 5.6%, DE 6.7%, CT 8.8% unemployment

Southwest, AZ MW $7.80/hr 7.8%, CO MW $7.78/hr 7.7% unemployment

National MW NV 10.8% and the one exception NM 6.2% unemployment.

Pacific coast WA $9.19/hr 7.8%, OR $8.95/hr 8.4%

National MW CA 9.8% unemployment

Northwest MT $7.80/hr 5.8%

National MW ID 6.8% unempolyment
