People, I am appalled at the ease at which so many of us are manipulated. Stop airing the 'out of focus'. 'I'm a Muslim' may be sincere but this is the wrong forum for religion. OWS is comprised of believers and non-believers, Christians and Jews, Muslims and Buddhists, Hindus and Shintos...(sorry if I left anyone out).
Americans...immigrants and children of immigrants. Students and construction workers, veterans and teachers, parents...no need to continue there. I have never been prouder of my country. OWS is the essence of what it means to be American. Enough! Enough melodrama and enough hate. Common goal, people.
We also have a troll infestation here as well. I'll give you some advise,if you see something completely outrageous and stupid,it's probably a troll.

Yeah they are mostly the "down with the jews" types that have been infesting our boards since day 1 thanks to breitbart style people and anti-ows people like the folks on 4chon.net's /new/ board that are constantly making raid threads targeting us. (that means grabbing their people and getting them to post rascist things to make the board look bad,take a screen cap of it so they can go to everyone else and say "see? I told you")

Lotta demons and evil people come out of the woodwork here on the internet. Nothing. Nothing else because all material is a wispy illusion of what is really true-love, joy, and wisdom. yes, i believe it has come for the time for all religions and faiths of the world to see eachother as brother and sister, not as enemy. It is childish. We're all One. They believe they'll really end a person's life if they end one's physical form.
We're all very much capable of evolving. We have the resources. This is inevitable, as is all change.
Be strong, too. :) We're all counting on eachother, whether we know it or not.
You say it really well. There is a knowledge that comes from our hearts not our tainted heads. The haters can't tell you why they love their dog just why they hate a person of some color or orientation. They are shallow and will be extinct in 2000 years or so. We must be united and vigilant against the Neanderthal. He is on his way out. He detests us and wants our destruction.
I've been thinking it for far too long, and will for far more to come. Have faith :) Things have a grander purpose and a divine perfection to it that is on such a high vibrational frequency, it is difficult to percieve with untrained human eyes. People thousands of years ago thought about the world as we do today. They looked around and thought, "Is this what I am here for? Is this the portion of history of which I am privy to observe and experience?"
This is just another portion of history in which we can observe. But more than that. We must take action. Directly. We only have a limited time.
Also, this is what I have mulled over in my head and it might be of use to you, too: The Universe could be a contextual field of 'good' and 'bad' (really, Fear and Love) which serve to sustain the duality of our reality here. The bad must exist for the good to exist. It is in balance. So perhaps there is a purpose for the 'bad' here-to learn Love, and to grow.

You don't have to say that, it's known. And yes, isn't it a weird feeling? To have everything that's been building in your heart freely expressed, and actually have someone listen to your words.
We have to throw away alot of our notions on what is 'right' and 'wrong' for evolution to work. We, instead, should keep what serves us as a whole and what does not.
Seriously. I appreciate you. I know it gets a little surreal and bizarre but I am learning so much as I speak my mind. Some people actually listen. That's the objective, right?

Being nice doesn't correct the hate of others. There is no solution except to accept what humanity is, and live with in. I remember once I got into a fight after the bar. I didn't do anything, I was just being nice. I realized, at that point, with blood dripping down my face, that some people are just out to get ahead in the wrong ways.
I agree. There are bad people. that is why we as a group of protesters have to leave it at the door. We must concentrate on our common ground rather than the self-centered fears that govern our lives. The 1% is better at it than the 99% because they are homogenous. You and I can make a difference by responding with love and compassion instead of hate and division. I promise you that Thoreau, Ghandi and MLK were right. The evil will hang itself if we react correctly. Thanks man.

Why didn't you support the Tea Party, before it was taken over by the GOP and the hard right wing racist and religious zealots? The original Tea Partiers are pretty much independent and against corruption.
I think that is why we are having this discussion of unity. The media is trying to do the same thing to the occupy movement that they did to the tea party. A lot of the tea party are the 99%, why not work together.
I am trying to do that. It is the hard liberals within the OWS who are against it and continue to vilify the Tea Party. Vilify the GOP posers in Tea Party clothes like Palin, Bachmann and the like just like the original Tea Partiers do. We are not bad we want good government.
I really hope this changes quickly. If we start to pick and choose who can join the movement we can't say that we are the 99%. Hopefully, us discussing these issues will help people see that if all you know about the "tea party" is what you have seen or heard it could be misguided. For example, may people who follow the OWS through Fox, CNN, and several others think they are a bunch of hippies, druggies, and unemployed. But, from actually watching videos and interacting through forums I find that to be highly untrue.
They may not be hippies and druggies, but lots of them are very ill informed about government and economics and the youth mostly have no life experience to draw from.
That's the point I was trying to make, rather than to try to understand how people can feel the way they feel the media just try to discredit them and unfortunately a lot of people fall into this trap.
It happened so quickly. Before I knew what happened they started talking nonsense. Started good and went sour with hatred and racism and... Now we have a real movement. A movement of the people. They can join if their hearts want it.
After a month, do you really have to tell a movement what the goal is? This OWS is sad.
