Simply put - we want them on our side.

"Greece's largest police union has threatened to issue arrest warrants for officials from the country's European Union and International Monetary Fund lenders for demanding deeply unpopular austerity measures.

"In a letter obtained by Reuters on Friday, the Federation of Greek Police accused the officials of '...blackmail, covertly abolishing or eroding democracy and national sovereignty"

"Since you are continuing this destructive policy, we warn you that you cannot make us fight against our brothers. We refuse to stand against our parents, our brothers, our children or any citizen who protests and demands a change of policy," said the union, which represents more than two-thirds of Greek policemen.

What about the Belgian firefighters that hosed down riot police that showed up to their protest? I'd rather have fire fighters on our side. They could hose down all the banksters. Hahaha

A judge would have to sign a warrant in order for the police to arrest anyone. If the police act outside of the law, it's no different than a citizen's arrest.

And to be clear, I do not support "Fuck the Police Rallies." But I would support an "End Police Brutality Rally."

This is a show of true patriotism on the part of the Greek police.

Why isn't there more interest in this post? If the people of Greece are made aware of this position of the police union, they should have the hope the Egyptians had when the Egyptian Army refused to stop the people. This is their time to win! The whole world should be watching this!

I've never had as much hope for the world as I do right now! This stand by the police union is not just for Greeks, it's for the whole world.

Solidarity with the Greek Police union, they are very brave to take this stand.

I believe this movement has lost focus. Your battle is not with the police...They are part of the 99%! You are in essence fighting yourselves. Declare a truce! Be the bigger person. Pull back from the streets for now (you can always go back in the spring or summer or next year).

Occupy The Information!

Who is the enemy? Wall Street right?...NO! Wall Street is a place. Expose the names, show the faces of the criminals behind the bailout heist. Nobody bothers to know who these people are. Therefore, your enemy doesn't exit! Expose these people and all who are involved in the corporate charade. Start with this guy:

Edward M. Liddy- Chairman & CEO, AIG, 2008-2009 Bailout: $180 BILLION Bonuses Paid to Worthless Execs: $165 MILLION
