Tired of writing letters to an absent President? Tired of posting anti-republican and anti-capitalist rants on this website, essentially preaching to the choir? Here's something useful you can do for Occupy...

It's time to clear the corpses from the battlefield. There are a lot of Occupy Internet resources which have died out, but which remain online. This makes Occupy look bad.

We should take a day to write emails to the administrators of these various sites to either take them down, take care of them, or find someone who can take care of them. Nothing looks worse for us than dead webpages. It makes it look like we are dead. We should never let anyone smell the corpses of our dead soldiers.

1 - Go to the InfoTent tab on this website.
2 - Go to the links one by one.
3 - If you find a dead site, or a dead forum on a site, write an email to the administrator so it can get fixed.

Here are two examples of unfortunate Internet death:

If you go to Occupy Chicago, then click on "Discussion Forum", then click in the category "General Discussion" you will see this:

http://occupychi.org/phpbbforum/viewforum.php?f=6

You'll notice the forum has been left for dead, and is filled with spam. This is an example of a forum which should be removed from the site.

Visit the website for "Occupy Dublin". You'll notice the site is down and all that remains is the output of a phpinfo() call. Here's the link:

http://www.occupydamestreet.org/

This is an example of a dead site, or a badly configured site. We should try to find who owns this so that we can fix the problem.

Also, until these problems are fixed, you should email jart or zoe so that they take the links off the InfoTent page.

Try all the links in the InfoTent, I just provided two examples, but there are a lot more.

This is a posting by your friend Thrasymaque, so it will be taken down very fast. If you read this, pass the info to your friends. Help clean up Occupy Internet resources. It's your first call to activism. Do it well.

https://tech.occupy.net Jart should just replace the infoTent link with this. If you want to act as the webs street sweeper, feel free. Personally, I'll just wait it out till they stop renewing the domain name and it falls off the web.

I spent $200 dollars on a project that you bashed me for endlessly and discouraged participation. Feel free to sweep the streets of the information highway your damn self.

Seriously. All the stuff I post and an argument gets 5 upvotes? Weirdos.

No you don't. You don't do a damn thing but come on here and act like king shit. 40,000 user names and not one of them worth a damn. You have no blog, not on the ground, no use of social media to promote Occupy. You aren't supporting Occupy in any fashion. You got kicked out of the park by Occupy because you're crazy and now you take it out on the forum. Grow up.

I don't blame you for the fate of the site so you can quit with the reds. Where is your blog. I know now I was wrong about you being Mr hall. He is off doing stuff on the other side of the world. You however, you are an enigma. You are also overseas, how could you be a supporter of Occupy. Ever get your BMW bike issue sorted? Roads over there must be shit. Anyway, I'm obviously not going to track you because you've been very careful about stray evidence and you use servers to jump around the web. You have gone to great lengths to be obscure and hard to find.

So what do you want? Why are you here? If you don't come forward with it, you only have the power to annoy. Just spinning your wheels and giving the forum regs someone to bitch about.

It's odd that a globe trotter such as yourself has nothing better to do than troll a protest forum on the other side of the planet.

A few days ago trashy/Victor/ia/April told me he now resides in the US, as that is where his father lives. Creature of a thousand lies. I told him to go chase his tail.

Why are people at Bard so enamored with this forum? Shoot'n the breeze with poor folk?

Reminds of the family of a rich kid I grew up with. They were fascinated by my impoverishment. Sure they helped me out a lot, but you could see the fascination, you could hear it in their voices. Very strange experience. Like we were from different planets.

"Simple. Take another look at your choice of words. My only question now is whether it's staff or students. By typing errors and word choices, I'm guessing it's students. Still working on that. Isn't this fun?"

It sure is. I and a handful of people on the forum would love to know what you find. People on the forum know by now , how much I love a good intrigue! Please let me know what you come up with...this is a new and interesting chapter for me.

I hate to give any help but, your italic is showing lol.

Stop being so patronizing. It serves no purpose.

"His? You mean, 'your'. You've been doing plenty of data gathering. My turn. You still didn't answer my question."

Data gathering?? I'm not sure I follow.

You say 'people' at Bard are enamored with this forum. How do you know its more than just trashy?

"I'm talking to you. Not at you, don't talk at me. Be civilized and answer the question, please."

Sorry, your statement seemed rhetorical overall.

I imagine its "all the usual suspects of the elite"....a curious but derisive desire to understand the 'little' people, but from the vantage point of a snobbery they can't see of themselves.

Perhaps we are their social experiment. I'm sure it comes from a self-appointed position of controllers.

In one way they pity us, like we would pity a penned gorillla at a zoo, but I think that they also have a deep seeded self-loathing. We are a reminder to them that no matter what, they are truly no better than any of us...and to them we are weak....and there is no way they want to acknowledge that they are weak. I think it scares them.

One day they die, scared and lonely asking themselves many of the same questions we do as we see the end coming.

How did you find out about his possible connection to Bard and/or the Hannah Arendt Center? You seem to have touched a nerve.

Like watching an ant farm through the glass emporium, with their furrowed little brows, saying, "Interesting little creatures, aren't they?! They're such incredible workers! Can't we figure out a way to tax them?"

'Trashy' : When you insinuate yourself around the threads on this forum, casting your shadow ; you run the risks that you run and will thus eventually have to face the repercussions either to your pay masters or even to your own conscience eventually.

verb. sat. sap ...

To reject leadership, to refuse to govern, to insist simply on talking and debating is not to be political, but is to announce one’s rejection of politics. To engage in politics one must not only rebel and tear down, but one must also found new institutions and build up. It is precisely the concern with foundation—the desire to build responsible institutions with power that would check and other powers and thus guarantee both political power and liberty—that Arendt understood to be the genius of the American Revolution. And it is precisely this political desire to found power that Occupy Wall Street protesters lack.

Sounds just like you, doesn't it. I'm actually afraid to pry beyond this. You are trying to understand. It also appears you are caught in a lack of understanding that you could fix, if you wanted to. Become one of us for 3 months. It will teach you more than you think.
