Ayn Rand said many astute things, but sane, she was not. She wrote bodice-tuggers for budding sociopaths and exalted persecution into misshapen, bitter aggrandizement. Selfishness=Virtue was her contribution to philosophy - she left behind a surfeit of self-indicting stuff.
