In the USA if I'm sick I have to go to a doctor to get prescription, doctor visit $300. Then go get pills $200.
In 90% of the world, you walk into a pharmacy and buy what you want over the counter for $1. If you want to see a doctor, you go to a clinic on any corner ( think cuba ) and pay $5 after the visit and walk out with a bag of pills.
The problem with USA healthcare is that the AMA has created a system that normal citizens CANNOT afford.
In 90% of the world, you don't need medical insurance cuz out of pocket isn't anything to worry about, and most governments provide cancer care for free.
The USA of course can't tolerate what 90% of the world does cuz the pharmacy lobby and doctor lobby and insurance lobby want to make sure that they put 90% of the folks over 70 into bankruptcy.
The USA is the most evil nation on earth.
Solution? Go live in South America or any where in Asia, or Africa, ... or any where that health care is virtually free cuz pills are almost free and doctors are cheap.
Want to solve the USA health care crisis? Kill the AMA, the and all medical unions, and kill the medical 'prescription' racket [ BIG PHARMA]. Prior to 1920's granny grew bud & poppy's in her garden in USA and virtually everything was home remedy, then the USA kleptocracy made self care and self diagnosis illegal, and rest is history.
Today the American dies or becomes bankrupt because he can't afford, in 90% of the world medicine is cheaper than food.

Yesterday I calculated from the fact that we spend $3 Trillion a year on health-care in the USA, if we used 10% of that money only, that's $300 Billion dollars, it would pay for 1,000's of hospitals, and 100's of 1,000's of new doctors working for almost free because there would be so much competition. Drugs are essentially free, but the BIG-PHARMACEUTICAL's keep cheap drugs out of the USA, anywhere else you never pay more than a $1 for a bag of pills when your sick. Only the USA can you not afford to be sick.

A. The healthcare providers charge too much?
B. The healthcare providers charge too much because of "government intervention?
C. Because this country has the latest, greatest, most modern equipment along with all the tests that are needed and it costs money to buy theis equipment and for these tests?
D. Because of the high cost of "malpractice" insurance?
E. Everyone goes to the doctor because of every little problem they have and they want a "quick fix"?
F. A lot of people are overweight, need medical attention because of it and it adds additional costs to healthcare.

Minor surgery for the day in any hospital I have been to outside of the USA as never been more than $20 for the entire day.
Minor surgery in the USA is yes, over a normal person's yearly salary. Something is terribly wrong.
Let's cut the shit on technology, all technology is MADE in Asia,... they have more modern stuff than the USA, its where its its made, yet they can deliver service at 1% of the cost. Fact. Why? Cuz doctor's aren't over-paid elitists.
The PROBLEM with USA medical is doctors and insurance company's, both who control OUR US CONGRESS.
It's a combination of doctors, equipment suppliers, health care providers and insurance companies.
So, once we get a handle on what they charge, then things will change.
The equipment is all made in Asia, virtually free.
The health provider need only be a clinic, a shoe box or tent, with a guy/gal with knowledge, and a box of pills.
Fuck the insurance company's they bring nothing to the health care except misery and bankruptcy.
Doctors are cheap, Chavez has proved this in Venezuela, let any kind who wants to be a doctor be a doctor, ... problem solved.
Equipment is cheap, don't let them kid you in mass just like an iPhone, any diagnostic tool is dirt cheap.
A provider is just a clean-room, or a box on the street, or a shop, .. nothing fancy about where biz is done, long ago in USA it used to be house-calls when you were sick, the fucking doctor came to you looking for money to feed his family.

It sounds really good in "opressed" countries. So lets say we do the same here - what do you think people will be getting paid for their services?
People are already complaining about not making a good wage and you think it's better to produce "cheap" equipment and have "cheap doctors".
A cheap doctor would be a guy working for $20/hr, .. that's still 4x more than most normal folk, but remember it only takes a doctor 3minutes on average to check a patient, and list the pills you need. So the doctor see's 20 patients an hour, all paying $10 total, ... that $200/hour, more than pay's his salary and office expense and staff of 1 or 2 folk to admin,...
I'm talking about a clinic on every corner, and how its done everywhere, ... Well everywhere but the USA, in the USA you wait 3 hours to get your 3min with doc and he writes prescription, you pay $300 for that wait, and then take paper to pharmacy and pay another $200.
Fuck the USA medical system.

What I know for a fact is that outside of the USA I can get consistent high quality care at 1% of the cost in the USA, this is why today that "MEDICAL TOURISM", is the #1 reason folks travel outside of the USA.

I bailed the USA years ago.
For this simple matter health-care, and not just the money issue, but the fact is having to wait 2-4 hours to see a doctor at a non-urgency clinic. Having to provide proof of insurance bullshit,... just bullshit.
Like I keep saying in 90% of the world, you walk a couple 100 feet from your home to a clinic, you see a doctor in a few minutes and your out the door with only a buck missing a few minutes later and problem solved.
