Has money ever really determined true value and worth??

Value lies in the eyes of the beholder like beauty. It's all based on where our human interests lies at that time. It doesn't matter if it's a need or want. So if you believe that, then question becomes how can we find where human interest lies and keep track...

We have been cataloging and finding statitical information accross the internet faster now more than ever before. Keeping track of human interests (not the individual) on a value scale can be easily accomplished, while also using social networking tools to contribute services and goods to one another.

At first humanity had to use direct trade and barter. Then we evolved to a monetary value system to work as our middle man which had its ups and downs. Now it's time for us to wash away the psychological symptoms that the monetary leap in humanity brung to us. Call them growing pains...

This web based value system could be our next step towards equality and abundance?

In a very broad sense, no. Although there have been plenty of attempts throughout history to base "money" on a very specific tangible asset.
