I love this forum as an exchange of ideas and have learned a great deal. Sometimes, on a Sunday morning, I like to look through the postings and see what is on people's minds, etc. Really great.... I think that change is important and I do not condone violence...it just kills any cause....creates public opinion against a cause..Just my opinion I usually post once a month about personal responsibility as I watch people post about banks, credit cards, the system, etc.

There are a few facts of life...we have to pay our bills to live, we have to pay our taxes because we need things to run in our country....yes the government wastes money, etc...but we cannot be like Cindy Sheehan and decide not to file taxes for 8 years because her son volunteered to go into the army and was tragically killed...I feel for her...but really...is it sane? The tax code is screwed up and things are not fair....but we have to pay I like my local library, roads, education...etc..

We also have to look at ourselves and our lives...if you are protesting the banks, but refusing to cut up credit cards, that is your life but you are dumping money into their pockets... I took my move this year...cut up the cards, paid off the cards in total...now I am contending with paying off the car. I will never have another car payment- i made this choice... I took out a small student loan, but now I counsel kids to make sure they don't go by my path Not to bore you, but I know that some people are taking fisical responsibility and not lining the pockets of corporations...not paying bank fees... living on cash even though some say that this is now seen as "revolutionary".... Occupy is not focused...there are a lot of great ideas and actually a lot of good has been done, but you need to Occupy Your Own Life , then help others do the same.... Maybe if a few million people cut up credit cards, lived on cash, did not buy what was not needed...swapped, bought local....things could change a little...

Is richer 10k more? 15k more? I make about 75k a year after taxes obliterate me I make 54 a year Should I pay for someone with 4 kids who makes 24k and who gets back a nice 5k tax check a year? Not trying tobe rude...really But the only way to get this country out of debt is to tax the middle classes If u taxed the rich at 90 percent we would still be drowning We can't stop spending....

Why should we have to pay our bills when there are richer people to do it for us?
