I thought this article was sexist... didn't you? (just kidding)

great article

Yep. You're right. It's a living, breathing movement that will evolve as the days go by. And the issues are beginning to take root, thanks to guys like you.

Thanks. You're a part of it too, no change without some real debate happening. I really hope the admins get it set up so people can really start talking about the issues at hand and changing some hearts and minds. Hopefully including my own... You have seen what i've been saying, definitely for structure and purpose but after reading that article and hearing from Michael Moore and reading up on the revolutions in Egypt and elsewhere I am starting to believe it matters less. But I'm not totally convinced yet, and I still think finding support will be easier with a unified message. We just haven't discovered it yet. Its been a pleasure and I hope to continue talking with you and others in the days and weeks to come

I'm very encouraged by what I see. I'm challenging everyone on this site... but I'm actually seeing it all come to fruition quite organically. I think it is really going to happen. A lot of bright people involved with this...

[-] 1 points by npowell85 (249) from Montana City, Mt 12 years ago

definitely. I have never had the pleasure of interacting with people you can disagree with and they still want to engage you more. Its almost as if a shift is happening in our society, a shift toward unity and higher thought. People are beginning to consider why they sit quietly while all this happens to them, and it is truly encouraging. I am cautiously optimistic...

Some of the brightest people on this sight I intentionally push their buttons... and 100% of the time we have come to a mutual agreement on the core issues. You're right. This could be a real "shift" in thinking... maybe for the entire Country.

I really really hope it comes to that. what a great dream, consideration for the common good... shouldn't be such a foreign idea. If you haven't watched this yet you definitely should take the time, its well worth it. Its an hour long but it will really inspire you I think:

You sent me this video a few days ago. And I did watch it. And I'm listening to it again right now. Interesting how Sandel speaks about the very issues that the OWS Movement is focusing on right now. For what it's worth, when the dust settles, his vision of the future is exactly what will come to pass. Unfortunately, there will be great struggle and loss of life before we finally reach this point years from now.

[-] 1 points by patriot4change (818) 12 years ago

I'll check it out right now. Thanks.

reply to this when you are done, I'm interested to know what you thought

[-] 1 points by patriot4change (818) 12 years ago

Sandel addresses the same core issues that are surfacing with the OWS Movement. Poverty. Corporate influence of D.C. politicians. Lack of unity and cause within the American community. His delivery is subtle yet powerful. Can you imagine what it would be like if a guy like Sandel was in the forefront of Washington leadership. We need more guys like him.

[-] 1 points by npowell85 (249) from Montana City, Mt 12 years ago

yes we do. he is a real genius. His course "Justice" is the most popular one at Harvard U. It is available on iTunes U for free. I highly recommend it. If he was the economic advisor to the president and the president wasn't a tool, the world would be a much better place.

You should keep this guy in your back pocket. And when the time is right, present his views to the rest of the Movement. Or, post his video on the "blog" for all ears to hear right now. I wonder what he thinks of OWS and whether or not he would actually join forces?

I don't know. I put a link in my latest thread and I've been promoting him for several days. I haven't tried contacting him.
