To have the common man (woman) in office would promote the changes. Our government is designed to be by the people and for the people but the only way to get into office is to have money, connections, and one hell of an education. (Which serves no purpose related to the political office)

I would like to do something of the sort, but the only means I ave been bale to come up with is using the social media as the poor mans platform to spread the message and word. I think leaders have failed to account for the future, and only look at the moment. We need a platform of sensibility and sustainability.

A poor man (woman) would be discredited by the major parties, it would be a road of potholes and strife, but it is possible. Slander would hurt the heart and soul, so the candidate would have to be an open book, and we all make mistakes in life.

How to get this rolling?

To lead you must have money, is how it seems. WE NEED TO CHANGE THAT. Has every president not been of wealth?

How could the poor man (woman) afford to travel and speak his/ her political agenda? I think honestly, like you said, a grass roots campaign would work, but I believe the only way to do it is through the power of social media, it would spread the word quickly, efficiently, and cheaply.

Grassroots campaign? Lets stop talking and do. It would have a very good chance. Worth a shot.

...... Start a the local level, city counsel, mayors, county elected officials, then move to State and Federal levels.

I don't know, starting small has seemed to lead to brick walls. Look at Denver's Hickenlooper, he is a good man, but he is outweighed. We need to take big positions within the federal government, take it where the people (99%) unite, march forward to the polls and vote in this mysterious candidate. (The person that the other "leaders" don't know from their frat parties) Same with all other political positions, fire them all.

To make a career out of politics leads to corruption, because so much personal risk is at stake.

I would like to help, the only toes I want to step on are those that would want to keep it the same.

Again, they have made careers out of politics, they have too much vested to want a real change, they just want the mass's to calm down.

It is up to us to do so.

The future is now, the time is NOW.

We need to expand to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and take our message to President Obama! Congress also needs to hear us. They both have the power to change things. Things that they created

Ideas and interaction are welcome, time to make a change that is not going to happen if we leave it up to others to do so.
