And, the Russia Agriculture article is very informative. Longer growing season makes a difference. We start veg seeds in house, then move outside as soon as safe from freezing.

[-] 1 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

So far so good---Thanks

[-] 1 points by MattHolck0 (3867) 9 years ago

why can't they run more or longer trains ?

[-] 2 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

Ask Warren Buffett, he owns Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

GOOD idea.

Now that Warren Buffet - He's a real Multi-Billionaire of The People - I am sure he is not aware of the whole situation - Puhlease - I mean he is all for his secretary to pay less in taxes than he does - am I right? - sure sure - this whole thing has just gotta be one huge mistake - and when ol Warren hears about it - well - heads will roll...............

{:-])

[-] 1 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

This could be his defining moment.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

[ edit ] The challenge has been sent =

@WarrenBuffetZPI Why is your railroad letting food rot? Do you really need the Oil Revenue to make ends meet? Let oil wait - transport food

edit-> People? Feel free to repeat the challenge - the more the merrier.

[-] -2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Breaking news - twitter goes into heavy censorship mode = will not post tweets criticizing the attorney general of the USA or challenges to warren buffet.

Whats up with that twitter?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Actually - anyone reading this comment - if you have a twitter account.

Please do me a favor and look at the tweets I have sent out.

Can you see the tweets to warren buffet and to twitter that I just made?

As they do not show up on my home page tweet listing - but I could see them on the open tweet page ( if you know what I mean ) - are they showing up on the public page and for some reason not on my private listing?

Let's put him to the test. Let him rise and shine or crash and burn along with the rest of the insane greedy assholes.

[-] 2 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

This is his chance to make something of himself.

[-] -2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Yep - being obscenely wealthy - is NOT - being someone of any worth.

[-] 1 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

Destruction of this crop, must be viewed as a National Security Issue.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Bad politicians - it's kinda like kudzu - right? - just growing at a ferocious rate and strangling any other form of life in their path.

So yeah - bring on the aerial drop napalm. Scorched earth.

[-] 0 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

Bread Basket of the World, Under Attack

[-] 4 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 9 years ago

This just in...the wheat harvest in Ukraine may not be able to get harvested because there is no money to buy the fuel for the combines and no money to pay the workers.Bumper crop this year-could end" badly" if the situation doesn't get sorted out-like right TF Now.Supposedly cops&soldiers are not getting paid, either.

[-] 2 points by MattHolck0 (3867) 9 years ago

Russia is predicted to export 20 mmt of grain (net), and Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan collectively about 48 mmt of grain onto the world market (FAS).

http://www.choicesmagazine.org/magazine/article.php?article=78

could global warming be behind the increased agriculture ?

[-] -2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

And the majority of the world has not - one - single - clue - as they only see what is right there in front of them and have no idea what the rest of the world is seeing/experiencing = DROUGHT in major food production lands. And where there is not a drought ( of years in length - yet ) - there are major floods and storm events that kill the crops in the fields prior to harvest.

[-] 1 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

Has there been any public protest in ND?

[-] -2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Not that I am aware of - I am sure it would be very helpfull for the whole state to see this = Pennsylvania Makes Public 243 Cases of Fracking Contaminated Water

by FishOutofWaterFollow

  • 1st and then see a report on rotting crops waiting for transport to market.
[-] 1 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

Well Said

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Thanks - but - I don't rightly know where that came from - it felt powerful though - very primal - and - AND - it felt - SOooooooo RIGHT !!!

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

[ edit ] This is not the 1st that we have heard about trains moving oil rather than grain.

This - IS - a story that will receive air time on lame stream media.

Why? Some might ask.

Well - this is a way to further irritate the public about trains moving oil rather than food.

Why? some might ask.

Well - in this way the fossil fuel industry hopes to turn public pressure towards pushing for oil pipe-lines and a return of trains to hauling food.

The F'rs

edit-> Yes thrashingmasks - collusion = fossil fuel and the railroad and lame stream media - a full blown conspiracy.

[-] 2 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

Perhaps, Buffet and other big investors have purchased a lot of grain futures.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Ahhhhhhh - make a futures shortage by letting current crops rot - and - cash in on oil money now - because he charges more to transport oil than he does to transport grains. By letting food rot - he makes future crops that much more valuable - so he will also likely charge more to transport future crops as well.

The greedy bastard.

[-] 1 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

Business as usual. Also see trashyharry post above, regarding problems with Ukraine crop.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

I saw that - ain't war wonderful?

Famine - Pestilence - Death.

And the greedy love all three - as they have markets for each.

[-] 1 points by Nevada1 (5843) 9 years ago

Good to know.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

It is about time and long past time that the public should be able to see and connect the dots.

[-] 2 points by turbocharger (1756) 9 years ago

I dont think the public is usually too good at doing that. The loyalty is tough to overcome.

[-] -2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Thanks Eeyore

[-] 4 points by turbocharger (1756) 9 years ago
