This is a follow up for the leadership poll post as given by JProffitt71. Should you guys have specific goals for the movement?

There are widely-supported goals: Money out of politics (esp. address Citizens United), address extreme inequality.

Why not? I thought it did have goals. We want a genuinely democratic, peaceful, just, ecologically sound and loving society. Is that too much to ask?

And what is the implementation issue?

And what is the implementation issue?

I suppose you mean what is the implementation plan. I think that is clear too. It is to build the occupy movement until their is a GA in every neighborhood, every school and college, every mental hospital and drug rehab center, every nursing home, every military barracks, every jail and prison and especially every work place. Once we have 10 or 20 million people occupying (far, far short of "everywhere" but far, far greater than the tiny number we now have occupying or even aspiring to occupy) then we will be a position to assess what to do next.

Yes. We need specific goals, and the first one should be creating a way to decide what those goals are. I posted "A Means for Reaching Consensus" which outlined a way for the best ideas to come to the surface, but that post was instantly lost among all the others. Even in this "leaderless" organization there must be someone operating this site I could get that information to somehow. It requires adding a new section to the forum, but could give direction to the entire movement. If anyone knows how to contact the "leadership" please let me know. Thanks :)

What do you mean "you guys" are you not part of the 99%? why are you baiting people with questions that have long been answered. No, we do not have a leader/politician representing us. Yes we have tons of specific goals as we listen to the multiple voices of the 99% we have many goals as would be expected in a true democracy. Have you seen people holding signs. They all have specific messages. I son't understand what you are trying to do, do you think you will start dividing people on these issues or something, we are commited to a leaderless movement that is all inclusive and not affilliated with any political party, it is about listening to the voices of the people. everyone

I may fall in the category but I was referring to OWS because honestly you don't seem to represent anywhere near 99%. Just my opinion. How do you propose to choose which sign is important. I've seen signs reffering to money in politics, deregulating the market, and saying that capitalism is just plain wrong.
