America has too much obesity. 40% of Americans are obese. The excess calories we consume could feed an additional 120 million people! If we are going to adopt European type policies we need to adopt their way of eating. Health care in Europe is so much less expensive because they aren't as heavy. Obesity adds billions to our healthcare costs. Fat people should be taxed far higher than lean, fit people. Greedy people should be taxed at higher rates but so should food hogs.
Also fat makes women unattractive. Of course it's not politically correct, but if there were more lean, fit attractive women, men would be less likely to seek power and the resultant flocking of women to powerful men because even an average guys would be able to have a attractive fit woman. The same would hold true for women being able to par bond with fit men, but women are not as "shallow" as men when it comes to selecting partners for looks.
At first this sounds kinda wacky, but when it's phrased as being able to feed another 120 million hungry mouths, and dramatically reducing healthcare costs, it has real merit. And women have been objectified for 1000s of years and still are today, so please spare me the feminist wrath. I know it's heinous, but we can't change reality.

In a free society, you're allowed to be a pig. Furthermore lean does not necessarily equate to fit. There are a lot of people who are a little chubby that can move a lot faster than their lean counterparts, their in better shape over all, and they can beat the shit out of them too. Before America, Europe was an oppresive wasteland. That's why people fled to America. America is not perfect, but we have righted our own wrongs, we didn't need outside forces to do so, like Germany and Japan.
Does that also mean you can consume as much of the worlds resources as you can afford?
I always found it ironic that in the US poor people are more likely to be obese than those with money.
But I do agree that Americans who pay for their own health care and pay for their own food should be able to eat until they burst if that is what they want to do.
Then why can't rich people acquire wealth till they own everything.? I honestly see little difference.
Food has a finite life span, wealth does not. Why would people want to accumulate mass amounts of it.
I consume enough to survive. I'm not saying anyone should waste. Actually, I take care of myself like the Great Jack Lalanne, a healthy diet, and no smoking, no drinking, no drugs, but I don't think we need to regulate people. Here's a look at Europe in action:

You aren't the problem then. I commend you. I doubt anyone would argue with sharing your healthcare burden. We need to get healthcare costs under control. That cannot be denied. Sharing healthcare costs with people that refuse to tame their unhealthy lifestyles simply won't fly.
Asking people to meet a healthy body mass index would free money for cancer and childhood illness. And it's so easy, walk a couple miles per day and eat only what you need to be fit. It's would be a true form of social responsibility.

I used to love hippies, I thought that they just let people do their own think, but I learned that the left can be just as entolerant as the right, as smart as he was, even Bruce Lee could be a total tool. I think a free market is good, but when you see people doing bad things you have to call them on it. I have been bashing Toshiba for almost two weeks and many of my felllow OWSer's have been giving me shit, calling me a spam bot. Toshiba is one of the most evil motherfuckers on the planet, I think my fellow OWSers need to realize it.
Anyways, I think as a citizen, you should tell a lot of these fat pigs to slow done, I just don't think the government needs to get involved. Their not very good at it.
In conclusion, I agree with you call these people out, I just think the gov. is too stupid to do it right.
I think we should just feed morbidly obese people to carnivorous animals in the zoo. It would lower the cost of operating zoos too. Wouldn't it be funny to watch Lions or Polar Bears chasing some fat piggy around their enclosure? People would pay big bucks to watch Shamu swallow some fatty at Sea World too.
We should also charge by the pound for airline tickets. Why should a 115 lb woman pay the same price as a 500 lb man, when he burns 5 times more fuel to fly his fat ass around. Don't forget the danger when the plane hits turbulence and a 500 lb baby elephant waddling down the aisle comes crashing down on your lap.
