A Box at Madison Square Garden was just one of the many excesses that Global Crossing indulged in around the same time they took a day's pay each month for 6 months from every employee back in 2009 to save $6M on payroll. Around the same time, on one side of the business, they started calling sales wins "orders", when actually they could not be backed up by actual revenue equivalent to these stated "orders". I wonder if they reported these, so called orders, as actual orders to shareholders? Maybe someone should look into it. I wonder if their new owner, Level 3, was aware of this when they acquired Global Crossing.
