Ya'll need a solid stance on shit...... Good job on protesting though I am glad similar things have been popping up around the country. Just be very specific on the outcome you want from the protesting and you will gain more followers and probably a bit more moral within the group.

Put the information in the "About" section, because what you have in there is pretty useless right now (not even trying to be an asshole, I am just giving my two cents). BE VERY SPECIFIC in what the group stands for then go accomplish those goals!

For example we should manufacture products here in the USA.. and we obviously need a insane import tariff tax because companies do not care about Americans enough to hire Americans yadda yadda etc etc.

Good luck and take care.

Do not list demands or goals at the request of others. They could be infiltrators. Keep incubating ideas representative of the movement, but do not finalize because those who do not understand tell you to do so.

The USA declared independence in 1776, but didn't adopt the Constitution until 1789. Real change takes time. Starting with a collection of ideas and forming them into something representative of those ideas takes time.

If everyone would research a "resource based economy", I think that all of the demands that I've seen (even the ones that have been labeled as radical), can be met efficiently. It will take time but society will benefit. You can't rationally ask companies to create jobs when they don't need to create jobs in order to maintain efficiency. Companies are becoming more and more automated due to positive technological advances and the need for human labor has gradually decreased over the last decade. The recession is giving more companies an incentive to automate more, and decrease their dependency on human labor further. Thus, it's not necessarily greed that is hurting people, it's the outdated, obsolete system that we're running. Change the system, create freedom.

I've worked on numerous political campaigns and the best advice I was given by old school campaign managers was that in order to have a successful political movement, you have to have a clear and simple slogan. Obama had it with "Change". Having a list of demands is almost like having a list of slogans to an extent, and it also opens up the door to compromise in the future and compromising is one of the reason we are in this mess. If it can be summed up in a way to get people excited and to give society a clear objective to strive for, it will keep us in the right direction and allow us to see it through.

The different list of demands I have seen will not work under our current system. It's not necessarily certain people that are oppressing us, it's the system in itself. It's obsolete and needs to be changed. If the clear goal is to change the system to a new efficient one, you will get many more believers and supporters.

We're working on coming up with goals, but it's being done in a more democratic way that what people are used to. Please join the movement, discuss the goals with others, and try to convince others to adopt those goals. We need your participation.

I think the 9 points stated here are adequate to the task. If we get those we have accomplished more than anyone in recent memory.

I agree. This movement is going to fail unless people unite under a common goal and common slogan...research "Resource Based Economy"...good system (not perfect) but good and evolving, I think it would suit most of the protesters, and give them a clear idea what to strive for.
