The web gives us a public forum for identifying and recommending solutions to problems. If OWS does nothing else, it can be the beginning of a national conversation on how to use government to solve problems.
First, build a list of problems and then build a list of solutions for each problem and then prioritize and build an action plan.
We need to document where we want to go, current problems, proposed solutions and then get agreement to implement the solutions.
We need support from all political factions that the ideas are acceptable to a majority of their members. We need consensus if we are to achieve our goals.

Recommendations
Add two new entries to OWS Home page: Goals and Problems.
Then add a forum to each of these new pages.
Use the forum discussions to build a prioritized list of Goals and Problems to solve.
Then add a forum for each Problem to discussion solutions.
Later add a Plans entry on the OWS Home page.
Here a forum will discussion how to get the solutions implemented.
If you think this idea has merit, please vote this topic up.
You might want to check out a site one of these guys already has going. It's sounds a lot like what you are talking about in regards to listing the problems, then identifying solutions, etc. The site is "OccupyThisWiki.org
The OccupyThisWiki site does not appear to be very active. I made a post; but am unfamiliar with Wiki and my input looks out of place.
There are many ideas being entered on this forum; but is seems everyone is talking and no one is listening.
I do not see how anything good will come of this effort until a plan for making change is put into place.
I haven't been over to the Wiki site for about a week so I wasn't sure if anything was happening there but I thought I'd turn you on to it just in case. I, too, am unfamiliar with Wiki so I haven't personally done anything on it. I think you need MediaWiki software, not that that's a problem since it's free. But I do think there's a need for some sort of website where all the viable ideas from the various forums and other sites can be assembled together, then refined, voted on, etc. Endless chatter on forums isn't getting it done, although I do hear things are moving forward in DC and NY.
Thanks, I will have a look.
He's a cocky fellow but that's not necessarily a bad thing. As long as he's open-minded it won't matter. To me it looks like it has some potential and I do believe we need a website that everyone can link to or add their two cents. Just having multiple forums where all they do is talk won't get it done. Sort of like a central clearinghouse, know what I mean?
Good idea. One of the best. How about this:
Solution: Remove ALL federal funding to the development and/or assistance of private enterprise. This will protect the sovereignty of the Treasury and give back the power of the free market to the consumer who should be the only factor that determines the success or failure of a business through his/her individual purchasing authority.
built ready in Drupal, same as used by whitehouse.gov www.uponlocal.com
propose an issue or nominate a candidate, it is ready to go, has a fulll mobile verison to take over OWS on the ground with cell phones

It should also be clear that we are not fighting the government, we are promoting an honest government.
Instead of waiting for this website to allow for it, how about we start it here on this thread.
What is the next step?
organization of information and dissemination
