the article is dated may 18, 2009. shortly after Bush left office and Obama started. i doubt the numbers are the same in 2012 , three years is a long time.
Yes, the data is a little bit dated. I tried to find a reliable poll with more recent data that covered the same demographics, but couldn't find one.
If you can find a reliabe up-to-date poll with all the same demographics that show a more favorable trend toward the positive side, I'll be glad to remove this post. I don't want to be perceived as someone who is trying to bash Repubs as so many others are inclined to do on these forums. I am only interested in the facts, and any conclusions that can be drawn from those facts.

You're right; if anything, after watching him kill Osama bin-Laden, put an end to Iraq, pass healthcare, and get the employee payroll tax cut through while the Tea Party fumed and the Republican House of Representatives played chicken with our creditors the numbers should look even better for Democrats. Now, if you guys had settled on Huntsman as your candidate early on then that might have started to change by now, but with the current shitshow you've only made it worse for yourselves.

Nah, I knew it dated from 2009 when I replied to your first comment. I still think the Republican Party is devolving into a bigger and bigger shitshow, and while I may cross the aisle on individual issues when it comes to things like the death penalty and gun rights that's not the same as endorsing the party of Citizens United, or the party that's fairly close to letting Rick Santorum put his face on it.
