Forum Post: From a recent comment: "How profoundly sad. Can't we see that we are all humans, here? We breathe the same air. We should look out for each other." NO, NO, NO -- that's a one-eye-closed hope. Psychopaths exist.

It completely ignores the existence of psychopaths/sociopaths.

Psychopaths have different brains, they are like a subspecies. A societal or warfare/strife analysis that ignores their presence is nursery school level analysis.

What kind of capitalism, what kind of banksterism destroys families to the point of giving up their children? (The OP quote is from http://occupywallst.org/forum/children-dumped-in-streets-by-greek-parents-who-ca/ .) The psychopathic kind.

See “Psychopaths Caused the Financial Crisis … And They Will Do It Again and Again Unless They Are Removed From Power” http://pathwhisperer.wordpress.com/2012/01/04/psychopaths-caused-the-financial-crisis-and-they-will-do-it-again-and-again-unless-they-are-removed-from-power/ or http://occupywallst.org/forum/psychopaths-caused-the-financial-crisis/

One of the most commonly undiagnosed mental disorders is NPD, or Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Most sufferers of NPD can't even be convinced they have a problem, and they are such effective liars, they're able to convince themselves they are right about everything.

Look it up. I'm sure that a lot of A-type personalities suffer hugely, at everyone else's expense, from NPD.

That's a million dollar question, what percentage of A-type personalities are actually pathological (NPD/sociopathic)?

It doesn't have to be evolved sociopathy, it just has to be an incredible amount of shortsightedness and greed combined with an ability to rationalize away the costs of whatever it is they've been doing. Most of the people involved just get so good at ignoring those costs that they honestly can't see them until it gets thrust in their faces Christmas Carol-style. I'd suggest reading The Great Gatsby- I found it quite insightful and I think you might as well.

It's both. They feed off each, the sociopaths and the corrupt. And license each other.

However I believe we are in the economic straights we are in today because of the evolved sociopaths. Once they realized that society expected them to voluntarily follow the law, that sociopaths were even allowed to be regulators, they went to town.

Just think, Bernie Madoff was the head of NASDAQ!!! His fraudulent scheme was apparent to professionals even then, even if his sociopathy was not. He should have been stopped so many years earlier and never allowed into any position of authority.

There is still no hold on them. No one has gone to jail, total derivatives outstanding are beyond the imagination.

If interested see my earlier post on a Washington'sblog article, http://occupywallst.org/forum/psychopaths-caused-the-financial-crisis/ .

Of course Psychopaths exist. Before 1973 they used to call a great many of them homosexuals. Now they call Psychopaths gay or confused. Now that they let the homos out look were we are at today. A nation full of Psychopaths parading in the streets demanding what their narcissistic pea brains can dream up. We have a political system now thats full of them all the way to the top with Barry Obummer. Obummer.

With your inside knowledge perhaps you could tell us what psychopaths call themselves?

[-] -2 points by Zenqueerdog (-14) 12 years ago

It has nothing to do with inside knowledge. I remember when Kennedy was shot. Your parents weren't even born yet. I see the big picture and you see the outside of your 7th grade class window.

OK, so what do psychopaths call themselves?
