For some people, Freedom of Speech should be changed to Freedom of Irresponsible Ignorance.

If that's the case then why don't we update it to Let's all drive through traffic with our eyes closed?

It would have a similar effect; the potential to cause harm and injury while being reckless and showing lack of common sense/intelligence . Yet there would still be those same people who continually insist that this is how the First Amendment was intended to be used, that their rights are being impinged upon by asking them to consider others and their actions. If you can't get your message across without being offensive and/or using obscenities then maybe your message isn't as rational or well-thought out as it should be.

Resorting to these cheap tactics show a real lack of actual substance and the overall intelligence/ability to really allow others to see your perspective.

If people what this movement to be taken seriously then don't allow these kinds of destructive messages to overshadow and take away from your intentions.

That also includes any destructive behaviors like the current riots in San Diego.

Name calling gotta love it. Hey, I don't agree with you so you are a (enter here derisive term) monger, and I must censor you.

Just like all collectivist societies, if you don't tow the line then shut your trap. And if you refuse to do that, than we'll make you shut it. Love those "Liberty" loving socialists ( which is any gov't that wants to work in a collective manner by having control of the private sector and or co-oping it by leaving in their friendly industrial friends. You scratch my back i'll scratch your's logic is called Fascism and it is what your movement advocates)

I totally agree with your perspective. I have found that reading the news stories on the web give more iformation and clarity to what this movement is about, than do most of the forums here. I joined because I agree with the basic concepts of OWS. Sadly, many forum topics (and comments) seem to be just another forum that people use to lash out at each other and really contribute nothing intelligent or enlightening. They just show their stupidity, ignorance, and hatred.
