"Big Finance" (Wall Street) has used hundreds of billions, if not trillions, of US Taxpayer dollars in the form of implicit guarantees (too big to fail) to make money for its shareholders and executives. In 2008, the US Taxpayer got a glimpse of the beginning of these figures with TARP. Sure, "Big Finance" (Wall Street) paid TARP back, but what did the US Taxpayer receive for the risk it took in bailing them out? The US Taxpayer should own those institutions as that is exactly the deal that "Big Finance" (Wall Street) would've cut had they been on the other side of the bargaining table. Our government representatives demanded nothing for the US Taxpayer relative to the risk it took to bailout "Big Finance" (Wall Street).

Here we are today, many US citizens (OWS) rise up and speak out against this insanely obvious anti-american and anti-capitalistic injustice and look what happens. Look at what they are met with in terms of force and the quality of criticism. You are better than this, America. Please be better than this, America.
