Simple and focus, and near unanimous agreement. WE all know we need to reform political campaign contributions. This can be done by removing ALL private donations from campaigns. We easily could set limits on the amount spent for each election help, and provide up to that limit in funds from public coffers. This could be from additional revenues generated for this purpose or reallocated from revenues already collected. Public airwaves, already owned by the US Government could be used as the candidates’ only platform for speaking to the people other than “new outlets” re-showing this nationalized footage. This would resolve nearly every complaint within our current system.

Alterations, inclusions or additions welcome and wanted…as long as the overall theme is NO private monies in elections. This point cannot be waivered.

I believe that campaign reform is the #1 thing that needs to be done. Anything else we get passed or changed will just get undone when the elite start throwing piles of money at our politicians. That being said, If you allow donations of any kind from any one, You are just opening the door for more corruption. You know damn well some one will find a loophole that will allow large donations.

My opinion on this, Political campaigns need to be funded with Tax dollars and donations of any kind made illegal. Special interest groups and lobbyists need to be removed also. They should have no contact outside of an open public forum. We need to keep an eye on the children in Washington and make sure they are not making deals behind closed doors.

Make all donations public, even if it is just a penny. No donations from any institutions, companies or unions. That would be fair.

I disagree with your public airwaves comment though. Look how social media has changed the game, even if a few short years. I am uncertain to how important the traditional methods of dissemination will be in the future.

True it was just a thought, obviously you’re going to have them out in the public fourm and captured on footage....

I only make the point, because we know a certain network will make available to their candidate of choice, which will cause a situation where, whether correct or not, perception would be they had an unfair edge.

I think we should shoot higher, like a 29th, 30th, 31st, amendment also.

I propose quite a few here: http://occupywallst.org/forum/my-proposed-demands-1-5of-23/

I am not sure about public financing, the devil is really in the details, but I am sure about abolishing the senate and the electoral college, implementing a parliamentary system with instant run-off voting, and a simplified process for starting and running new political parties.

I am amased at how Occupy works and would like to have your input on the movement to understand it better. It relates to the questions of its buttom line nature as a movement, so could be interesting for you too. Can you answer 10 questions, please. I am happy to send results if you are interested. Thank you! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Q3NF7QB
