I have a dream too. I dream that one day we'll enforce our immigration laws. Sovereign countries are entitled to borders, ours too. Maybe someone should pass the word to the protestors.

[-] 0 points by gameon (-51) 11 years ago

dream defenders is a phoney group,............................like the rest of the current administration.

[-] -1 points by Stuffsnotfree (-18) 11 years ago

No, but it really isn't too tough to sort through what's helpful and what's not helpful for our country. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Illiterates and drop outs go straight to the ranks of our poor that liberals than in turn complain about as evidence of social injustice.

Excluding drop outs, illiterates, and those from cultures that are highly antagonist to our own would be a good and obvious start. Mass immigration emptying out Somali refugee camps is a no-brainer to exclude as a tri-fecta of bad ideas. Really, it's hard to figure out that that sort of immigration aggravates our existing problems?

[+] -4 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

So then you're a big fan of Obama?

He's tossed back a lot more of these people you hate then Bush ever dreamed of.

I'll expect top see you posting the numbers showing your love of Obama..!!

Oh, and speaking of illiterates?

Does that apply to places like Mississippi?

Or States teaching that Jesus walked with the dinosaurs?

Then it would make some sense.

"He's tossed back a lot more of these people you hate then Bush ever dreamed of."

Two people arguing whose master was the bigger shithead.

Wonderful. Things outta be changing for the good any day now....

Yiiiiiikes.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Are you capable of interpreting anything correctly?

Anything at all?

http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/national/fla-gov-rick-scotts-voter-purge-efforts-start-anew/1253538

There's another one for you to skew.

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 11 years ago

Its not an interpretation, it's your statement, word for word: "He's tossed back a lot more of these people you hate then Bush ever dreamed of."

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Yeah, but as usual.

It's taken completely out of context.

It's not like you had anything at all to say about the troll comment I was responding to.

Nor did you include it in your attempt to smear me.

Are you the man from FLAKESnews?

[-] 0 points by TikiJ (-38) 11 years ago

"Two people arguing whose master was the bigger shithead."

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Biggest shithead?

Since you are so intent on turning everything into character assassination

Why that would be you.

Oh great and holy poster of John Birch links.

No wonder you misinterpret so much.

Hey??

Did you even mention what about Alex Jones was so valuable to your positions?

Was it his love of the Pauls?

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 11 years ago

""He's tossed back a lot more of these people you hate then Bush ever dreamed of."

Sounds like a pretty hardcore conservative argument to me.

I especially like referencing the arresting, detaining and deporting as "tossed back"

Honestly, when looking at the things you support, you're pretty far to right. Most on the left that are older dont know what the radical left is even suppose to look like at this point.

Hint- The politicians you voted for shut it down about a year and a half ago.

[-] -1 points by summerbummer (-33) 11 years ago

TJ, I have long suspected that shoes is really a right wing nut trying to discredit the left with his nonsensical rantings. NOBODY could really believe the shit he says!

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 11 years ago

I like the believe that if you dont comment on one of his posts, it means you are ignoring it and then hence endorse it.

And then if you do comment on it, he says you are ignoring it and hence endorse it.

Professional agitator.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

That's exactly his modus operandi. I asked him last night what his opinion was about the problem of slavery and indentured servitude, a serious and global problem. He had "no comment." Which I would have to assume means he endorses it, since "endorsement thru exclusion" is one of his rallying cries.

My slavery post is four months old and was actively being bumped for at least six weeks straight. Not one comment from shooz either on the post itself or any of the dozens of informative links. Hell, even inclusionman added to it, and he hates my guts!

But then has the nerve to call you out on your silence on "slaved for profit children" in Florida:

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Still out of context, and I'm not repeating it as it was a response to an obvious troll.

So why the fuck are you giving me agism bullshit, while butting in on a troll response?

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 11 years ago

Here, in its entirety:

You are supporting a guy who is more right wing than your wildest dreams.

I dont use your thought process and then assume it means you want to deport more people than Bush, but at least realize you are getting played.

[-] -1 points by summerbummer (-33) 11 years ago

Yes, in reply to below....I keep getting called a right winger because I don't worship Obomber.

[-] -1 points by summerbummer (-33) 11 years ago

"jesus walked with the dinosaurs"??? Am gonna go out on a limb here and guess that Shoes flunked out of bible school as a kid! LOL

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 11 years ago

He wants to call me a right winger for being sick of this garbage system, I'm going to point out every piece of hypocrisy, every single time.

Not hard when dealing with people who defend D or R.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

He was trying to wiggle out of this.

"I have a dream too. I dream that one day we'll enforce our immigration laws. Sovereign countries are entitled to borders, ours too. Maybe someone should pass the word to the protestors."

I considered this "entitled to borders, ours too", to be the most important passage, and an affront to our own immigrants, both legal and those in exodus.

It was this concept that I was actually responding to with a bit of admitted cynicism.

In fact I've read similar things on right wing web sites. They like to make that kind of comparison, to back their own xenophobia.

Given the gist of the rest his anti 99% commentary around here, I believe the cynical comment was deserved.

BTW?

I think that is one of worst offenses of Obama.

[-] 0 points by summerbummer (-33) 11 years ago

Shoes, are you saying we should not have borders? Are you a one world govt proponent? You know that the socialist paradises of western europe (Sweden,Denmark, etc) have immigration laws and quotas? It's hard to be a welfare state if you open yourself up to unlimited immigration.

[-] -1 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

Mississippi? I'd bet there is more illiteracy in Detroit than Mississippi.

[-] 0 points by summerbummer (-33) 11 years ago

I have now seen several sources state that the illiteracy rate of the remaining Dertroiters is 47%

[-] 0 points by Stuffsnotfree (-18) 11 years ago

Now add the other disqualifies for reasonable employment and you come up with a city of high unemployment and high unemployABLE. Add those with criminal records, that can't speak standard English, are seriously mis-socialized, are buried in illegitimate kids they can't leave and have otherwise dysfunctional home-lives, and there you have it...Detroit.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You're that other guy too?

In Detroit it was forced on them, in Mississippi, it's done willingly. In both cases, it's conse(R)vativism that's the culprit.

Any State that forces it's students to learn creationism, is a State of tyranny.

It is forcing stupidity on it's citizens.

[-] 0 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

Good grief, you have such a victim mentality. No matter the problem you always blame conservatives. The problems with Detroit was the jobs went away and the city fathers spent too much money they didn’t have. Whatever the case I doubt it was some type a conservative conspiracy.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I blame them because they did the LIONS share of the damage.

They still are.....this very day.

Go back to your love/hate relationship with Perry.

It's so you.

[-] -2 points by Stuffsnotfree (-18) 11 years ago

Obtuse time, is it?

See, this is typical of liberals. Whine and cry about poverty and have particular melt-downs over minorities in poverty, but then want mass immigration of poor minorities completely unprepared for success in America. Sure, because a tiny share of the US population is illiterate or practices a religion you don't like, there's simply nothing about a Somali tribesman that would aggravate our problems. Nice reasoning skills!

And it does apply to Mississippi. They have enough problems, why would we give them more via reckless immigration? You simply want to pile on to their problems? Why do you hate them?

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Yes.

That was very obtuse of you.

In fact you changed the very subject, you brought up in the first place.

Obtuse, indeed.

Now about those Jesus on a dinosaur folks?

What are we going to do about them?

Talk about illiterate.

Oooops, sorry. You may be one of them.

see at least I'll apologize.

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 11 years ago

This is what the state does to stop uprisings. Wait till the police send in some professional disrupters - a bit more troublesome than the ummm....internet type- you will see how it goes.

Monday they can come and go as they please again, but it wont change anything. The state is not there to serve the people. We are here to serve the state.

We went through a phase where as soon as a backpack hit the sidewalk, the police would take it, literally standing there waiting for it.

Governors refusing to speak to their constituents.

Elected officials no where to be found.

Sounds like America.

[-] 0 points by forourfutures (393) 11 years ago

Ground version of the Schill that has no agenda, just contempt for all those demonstrating. That way the attack does not have counter political connotations, which exposes a conspiracy to interfere with first amendment rights.

[-] 0 points by Stuffsnotfree (-18) 11 years ago

How about they send ICE? Those violating our immigration laws can be politely asked to board one of the waiting buses. Heh, they probably even have box lunches!

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Nope. this is Florida.

Your State and it's YOU who doesn't mind if they export it elsewhere, like Wisconsin, or Michigan.

Kinda like the Florida voter purges Scott is starting up all over again, now that Bush stacked SCOTUS is hard at work for ALEC.....

ALEC......Destroying Democracy one State at a time.

[-] -1 points by TikiJ (-38) 11 years ago

It was exported a long time ago with your moronic representative fascist system you still seem to be clinging to.

I'm not about exporting anything. I dont want any of it. You're the clown who thinks you can just "vote" your way out of this.

You started out as a libertarian. Apparently you woke up, which was good, seems how one of the Kochs was probably a guy you were backing at the time.

(Seems how you say they have racist roots, were you racist then too? Or naive? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt).

Then for some reason, instead of seeing what this entire system was, you jumped to the Democrats.

Great idea!! How's it feel to still be- yes still- stuck supporting the people who shipped your job and your area down the river?

Does that piss you off at all?

If it doesnt, then theres somehting wrong for you.

How long has Levin, and the rest of the D/R losers been playing your ass? I'm guessing from your belief system you are around 55 - that seems to be the heaviest demographic when it comes to brainwashing.

I get that its uncomfortable realizing things arent what you thought, and that your voting actions very well may have helped decimate an entire area. Its not a pleasant thought, its uncomfortable.

But its never too late to wake up and join occupy and denounce the entire thing.

You will NEVER, and I repeat, NEVER, vote your way out of this. Its much deeper than that, and the entire system is DEPENDENT on people voting for it.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

So many words, so much bullshit.

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/07/27/tennessee-cemetery-keeps-racism-alive-even-after-death-desecrates-ngger-graves-to-bury-white-clients/

The "system", isn't going away tomorrow afternoon. No matter what you think.

You can sit and bitch and get in drunken bar fights, but that won't change a thing and might get you arrested.

Marching is good, but in the end it take the balls to get involved, and that means making accurate, honest appraisals of what is going on, Not tired, worn adages.

Defending Ayn Rand's philosophy is you at your worst.

The only politician I know for sure actually shipped jobs overseas, was Romney.

There could be more, but that's the only one I know of for sure.

And just what is it, you have against people in other countries having jobs??

I gotta go for a bit.

so sit and stew some more.

xenophobe Steve King is on the Immigration Subcommittee and Judiciary Committee. REALLY ??? OH - wait - sorry - binnezze as usual.

Congressman Steve King has crossed the line.

Last week, King asserted that "for [every DREAMer] who's a valedictorian, there's another 100 out there who weigh 130 pounds -- and they've got calves the size of cantaloupes because they're hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert."

That ugly, hateful language has no place in our debate about immigration. Period.

If Speaker Boehner and House Republicans truly want to condemn Congressman King’s views, it’s time for them to remove him from his positions of authority on the Immigration Subcommittee and Judiciary Committee.

Join me in calling for Speaker Boehner to remove Steve King from the Immigration Subcommittee and Judiciary Committee immediately: Click here to automatically add your name >>

Ideas like King’s are contrary to the principles that make this country great and make him unfit to hold an authoritative position on the Judiciary Committee.

Dan, if you believe, like I do, that there is no place for xenophobes on the Judiciary Committee stand with me and demand Boehner take action.
