Forum Post: Finance job situation in NYC

Hey guys, I'm working in Europe currently making about $10K / month after tax. Eventually, I would like to come back to the USA, do you think the time is right to find a sweet job in NYC in finance? Are companies hiring right now? I heard the unemployment rate is going done fast and the economy is really picking up. I would ideally like $200K / year but would consider $170K / year if the bonus level is high enough. I'm looking for positions with 5-10 years experience, would like 40-50 hour work week and ideally 5 weeks vacation since that is what I have now.
