“I believe in the free market!” “You mean like you have faith in God? You don't know exactly who or what He is. His ways and means are a mystery. His purposes are hidden from you and unknowable by one who is so much less than Him. You believe He loves you. He loves not just life in general but you individually. God knows and loves you. Like God, rich free market capitalists love and care for you. Is that what you believe? Yes. I see. The rich and their corporations are our salvation. We must have faith if we are to be saved.” “If I'm smarter or quicker than others, I deserve the money I make off of them.” “So there's no such thing as fraud? Con artists aren't criminals, they're just smarter than we ordinary people? Caveat emptor is the whole of the law? If you're quicker, stronger than me and intimidate me in such a way that I give you what you want of me, is that exchange based on the threat of violence not a crime?”

Believe will always have a lie in the middle...

Faith and beliefs do not require fact, but once fact or facts are revealed there is no going back to faith unless one is delusional or simply prefers delusion which seems to be the majority who are so easily preyed upon.

If you mean that a market without regulation is self regulating, in the way that it is now, by crashing and burning when to many have been stolen from and lied to!

Then I would agree.

The unregulated market is still self regulating even as we speak. It still has not hit bottom but is continuing in that direction.

Should we let it hit bottom (?) or do you think it might be a good idea to get it turned around sooner?

I see that faith in the free market is delusional, like most religions. We will not be saved unless we save ourselves from the winners who've competed to achieve the lowest common denominator of morality and scruples. - Turn it around? No! Take the money and power of the 1% who by the abstractions of finance have dominated and destroyed the real economy of production and distribution of real goods. - Try them for treason! Confiscate their money and property. They're Tory traitors to the American Revolution.

if you go in to edit your post, and back space the bottom two lines - I might be able to read them.

Unreadable comment from post above:
