Civilization is the story of ruling elite classes that measure the progress of our human community by their increases in wealth.

American manufacturing is gone or gutted. What we have left is on life support. The consumers are falling behind due largely to labor arbitrage intensified when products and/or product components are sourced from Asian and Latin American suppliers. As always, we suffer for the benefit of executives and investors.

Family farmers are struggling. Corporations are operated for the benefit of blood sucking investors by parasitic executives. New multimillionaires, billionaires and execs bid up real estate while many of their full time employees live on the streets in Silicon Valley and elsewhere. Consumers in general are less able to buy essentials, imported goods or even to pay the rent to the aforementioned parasite class. Most of us and our government grow deeper in debt to our overlords every day.

The for profit FIRE sector is a parasitic disease that exacerbates all of our hardships. It is the direct cause and/or philosophical antecedent of the ills outlined above. The market is not the answer. The market is the problem. No. I'm not talking about the retail market where you buy food, clothes, cars and furniture. I'm talking about the abstract markets of Finance, Insurance and Real Estate that suck wealth out of the real activities in the communities we depend on for life.

Capitalism is a failed system for most of us. The great Wall St. pyramid scam shall be exposed. Even hard core conservative morons will awaken to their folly in the coming years. The inevitable end grows closer every day.

No. I don't know exactly how or when. But it's been known for thousands of years that the road we're on must come to a bad end. Look ahead. Doesn't it seem to you that we're finally too big to succeed?

they never miss an opportunity to take another shot as Social Security. Since employers match the employee contribution to the tax, the "business community" generally supports attempts to steal the trust fund permanently and so destroy Social Security.
