Why are so many people troubled by the thought of equal pay?

With all the troubles/horrors around the world .. with wars , and poverty, ..equal pay would end war .. equal pay would end poverty ..

Right now there are people whom do not even have clean drinking water .. and yet so many are troubled still by equal pay

Equal pay won't hurt anyone. But, will help the world.

"Equal pay won't hurt anyone." Has it not occurred to you that it would hurt anybody who currently earns more than average?

How is it fair to pay a hard worker and a slacker the same amount? How is it fair that somebody who puts years into higher education should get paid the same as a high school dropout?

Its not fair - warn the slacker to get the shit to work or find another job. Same as always.

And the high school dropout, who makes as much as a doctor? How is that fair?

The drop out will do other necessary duties. The doctor will work as trained in medicine, with all paid training. the drop out may end up working physical labor which some consider much harder than the doctor.

Finally, I could get that slacker job in the library and not work so hard.

The population on earth is not cats or dogs. They are humans. Humans have drive to build and create.

Take that away from them, and you will have a mutiny on your hands.

Money is just a means of exchange. The harder one works, the further it increases their ability to create and build. How much do you make per hour?

A class in economics wouldn't hurt you either. LOL.

It would have to be "creative economics" !!

You mean with crayons and construction paper? If that would help you to grasp even the easy stuff, sure, if that's what you need.

LOL !

..more like Leonardo Davinci Economics.. futuristic .. innovative !

Economics that deals with the world problems ..instead of personal greed such as capitalism ..

Come on, just one class in economics. Try it. Just one. Surely, there's a community college somewhere in your area, probably even on a bus route.

In an economics class, do they teach about how millionaires/billionaires work hard for their wealth .. harder than everyone else ?

Go read "The Millionaire Next Door"...It will help you undo that bias you have.

Maybe you can even get a subsidy for the class. Come on, community college, free, on a bus route... what else do you need to get started?
