Um, how about we try putting some normal people in DC? No party affiliations, just get in there and beat the drums on tax reform, trade reform and campaign reform.
Thats it. Raise hell about it. Dont stop.
The congress is bought. Your state legislature is bought. You have no voice, no self-determination, no power. Not even the OWS movement will share its petty power with the 99%. Nobody cares about us 99%. We're just commodities to be bought and sold to all of these sociopaths and cockroaches who are profiting off our anger, our frustration, and our misery. Nobody CARES. Vote for Nobody and things will be better for everyone.

That, and how about a re-election of everyone in office? That way, we can have some people who represent our ideologies have a chance to get into office.
If the people want it bad enough, they can get it.
Well, I'm not so sure about that. I don't have facts, but if the government wants it their way, wouldn't they make it harder for people who think differently to get into a position of power?
Again, I'm not sure on the facts, but it's a consideration.
No, you are right. Thats why 94% of the time, the guy with the most money gets into office. And election campaign by an outsider needs to make a serious assault on the media in general, reminding people that someone is paying for all those tv commercials.
Yeah, I kinda thought so but I didn't want to outright assume something and not have anything to back it up (other than my gut feeling and experience).
It's all about money now. I think our first good step is just getting money out of politics. We need responsible, caring people in office. Not sleazy, selfish people. Visibility of all financial transactions is a must, at least.
i prefer demonstrating against injustice.
over trying to negotiate with a corrupt system
Nothing about negotiating. Take the freaking thing over. Demostrations only get you so far, you eventually need to make a move in one direction or another. Every enemy must be engaged head on at one point or another.
yes they do 198 methods of non-violent action

you can't be serious?
Serious has a heart attack :)
Ask Gandhi MLK and Gene Sharp
Ahhh yes, the obligatory Ghandi response.

Sure, I agree that he was a great man. But the circumstances that he was facing in India and what is happening here in America are even the same thing or closely related.
