The US now has over 7000 drones and they're giving grants to police stations to put drones in your city!

The new drones don't even need a human! And they can send a signal to other drones to form what is known as a "swarm". They come in all shapes and sizes, some look like dragonflies. They can be equipped with tasers, rubber bullets, 12 gauge shotguns, and whatever you can dream of.

Ummm yikes?

There were a couple of news stories a few months ago about Texas A&M having a drone R&D facility. The stories focused on students being concerned about seeing the drones near campus.

Also, In Austin, TX, a couple of weeks ago there was a news story about drones being used at the recent Formula 1 race at the new track. The story said the drones were intended for crowd control. The story interviewed two owners of a local drone manufacturing company. They showed several types of drones. The most impressive to me was the multi-engine hummingbird drone. It could hover and dart about quickly was being guided by radio. The company guys said they make drones for the military, law enforcement and civilians.

Big brother is here. You can already be tracked by your cell phone, now they can also follow you with a drone.
